You rock Matt Chemical Guys are the best of the best. I have a 2014 Fiat Abarth GQ I love showing this car. I was not even coming close at car shows of winning. So I washed it with Mr Pink then clay Bared it then put on gloss works glaze the put on two coats of the 50/50 wax. OMG the car just outstanding so I took it a car show two weeks ago and one 1st place in my class, last Sat I put her in another car show and won 3rd place best of show I'm a very happy camper. Hey Dan, thanks for watching. Wipe Out is completely safe to use on your paint, it will remove any preexisting waxes you have on your paint even if you decide not to wax. Just curious, why won't you reapply a new wax? You should definitely apply a fresh coat of wax to protect harmful contaminants that could etch into your paint. However, Clean Slate will not strip semi-permanent vehicle protection coatings like ceramic coatings. Only waiting through their expected lifespan or machine polishing with a compound will remove them. Chances are those holograms are in the paintwork, not in the wax coat. The detailer who did that work probably spread wax with a rotary polisher, which is a big no-no! You should only spread wax with a Dual Action polisher, not a rotary. The only way to fix holograms is with good machine polishing technique and products.

Hey Joe, unfortunately Clean Slate will not be a good option for matte finishes, also ceramic coatings will add gloss to your paint. I don't know about what every one else is seeing but I have experienced less contamination on the sides as opposed to the flat surfaces. I know this isn't really a decontamination video but chime in

Very good point, that's where you will see the most amount of dirt and grime because it's the largest exposed area. The sides of the of the car typically only get dirty if someone drives past you, and kicks up dirt on the door panels. I tend to notice bird droppings, dead bugs, runoff, and sap on my hood, and roof line.

I TOTALLY forgot to scrub the mitt on the grit at bottom... I guess I thought if i scrub it.. and then it gets stuck on the grit i'll get that back on mit and transfer to the car..

Pick up some Wipe Out, it's a surface cleanser that removes old waxes, sealants, and glazes. The only other way is to polish, or use a wash soap that removes waxes.

It's called a Dramm 22373 Aluminum Shut-Off Valve. Chemical Guys doesn't sell them. The easiest way to buy it is from Amazon. They run about $17 and are by far the best valve. Far superior to anything you'll find at Home Depot or Lowe's

You can, but stuff like Dawn will cause rust if you have stone chips or similar. Plus it's pretty aggressive to the paintwork as it was designed to strip grease and stubborn stains from pots and pans.

Dawn is a myth? Let me suggest you an experiment. Wax the back of a ceramic dinner plate with automotive wax. Buff it. Next day use a Dawn to wash it. Let me know what you see any wax!

You need slick wash solution to lubricate abrasive dirt and grime with your microfiber mitt. Adding the soap before the water fills the bucket full of bubbles, and it does not leave room for slick wash solution before it all overflows. A bucket of airy bubbles will not protect your car from swirls and scratches, but slick wash water with some foaming suds will.

Wow, as an avid subscriber / customer i am now entirely disappointed. This whole video was just one big slap in the face, i like chemical guys and the products but this has just highlighted how dumb myself and thousands of others are for even entertaining this.
