I just had some clown bump my '39 Chev coupe and had to repair and repaint my front fender. Of course I'm really an amateur painter, and I ended up with 5 runs when repainting my front fender. I found this video and tried it. In less than 15 minutes I had all 5 runs scraped, smoothed, and wet sanded with 1500 grit! Ready to polish the whole fender and amazed how easy this was to fix my poor paint work!

I do that with kangaroo leather strop for a smoother shave. Just to strokes on one side of each cut and it's like greased lightning with some tallow.

A piece of masking tape on both corners of the razor blade stops it digging in and gets the clear very close to level.

Its going to take a long time and a lot of elbow grease to buff out 2000 grit sand scratches by hand. Its hard to see it because thats a white car but if it was a dark color, you aren't getting it done by hand.
