the best tutorial on color grading, I also saw the course in your webpage. Complete, simple and thorough. Congratulations on your great work, and thank you for the contents! big fan here in Colombia

So informative. I'll be sure to jump over to your work to see how I can enhance my coloring. DaVinci Resolve is one of my biggest wishes to learn. The idea that it seems so no-restrictive in what it can do tells me, its me afraid of a program that forces me to at all times know exactly what it is that I want. Sounds common sense until you're given millions of possible looks and alterations to an idea. My hat off to you and everyone else who stayed the course.

Thank you for this, it's very fascinating. Alas, I haven't mastered tracking and all of the options, and I find that, with every small adjustment I make, it either moves the window for the entire clip, or I have to manually place it for every single frame. For my purposes, a little light makeup is far simpler and faster, but I'm bookmarking this for future reference!

Very helpful info!!! Please share how to get this milky/soft/silky/dreamy look like in your video above. Because i really love it. What camera, lens and settings are used , how did you grade it??

I'd love to hear your opinion of DR12 vs DR11. I just started learning DR11 about 6 mos ago, and trying to decide whether or not to jump into DR12 or wait a while (perhaps for more bug fixes). I've read where some say it handles footage much better (Faster), while others say it's Slower. Any comment on your end?

Hi question, I've been using Final Cut Pro for quite some time now and I thought I'd give da Vinci a try to see how it works with a Mac which I thought would have been powerful enough. Using a Mac mini with a 2.6 GHz Intel I7 and 16 gig of RAM andntel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB, that's the spec. what I'm finding is that it just seems to crash quite often I get the wheel of death I've tried optimising media half resolution just wondering whether you had any ideas or whether there was any thing new in the way of updates regarding this software any help would be appreciated thank you also I do enjoy your tutorials on da Vinci.cherrs

I do a lot of compositing in after effects, but I also tend to do more advanced effects in PPro, which often don't import into Resolve very well (or in some cases at all). I hate grading in premiere, I much prefer it in Resolve - are there any solutions to being able to grade in Resolve without losing those transitions and effects from PPro?

i have a problem. I downloaded it on my macbook pro and i can't export any videos. I have noticed that the problem is the ending of the video. When using DaVinci you need to have ".xml" and in every video that i have ends with ".mov". I have tried everything like changing the names of the videos but it won't work on my macbook. Do you know how to fix the problem?

Still sounded so clear of noise. :) quick question, for you, the corrections you made on the skin, is that considered "plasticky" or borderline? I know that some people say do it only to a point it doesnt look plastic. Reason i asked is because, i dont know what plastic skin would look like. thanks

Attention. I am using DaVinci Resolve on New Mac Pro (Late 2013) 12 GB Video Ram experiencing a loto of problem: spike in audio tracks and a lot of artifacts on video (also in exported). Blackmagic Design and Apple are not able ad interested in fix the problem.

Great! but doesn't it make the skin look a little fake when you take the highlights out? I feel highlights can help give the skin more dimension and texture (as long as it's not completely blown out) now it seems as if her skin had lost that three dimensional feel... dunno... guess you're the expert.
@YellowTapeMedia9 жыл бұрын
+BlairSantos All based on mood and taste for the project. Just my .02.
@LearnColorGrading9 жыл бұрын
+BlairSantos I completely agree. It was overdone in the video to illustrate how far the effect can go. You can always dial it back. But It's good to know that you can actually remove skin blemishes.
