When I realized what he did I yelled at him. You saved my phone. Samsung updated my device and it just got the service off. I called the phone company and s/he just said that the new update is why the phone service cannot go through. S/he also said that there was no way the update could be removed. I just followed your lead step by step (albeit some of the stuff you mentioned did not show up at the same place) and successfully removed the update. OMY, my phone service got resurrected. This just happened with my zfold 4. It started with no Wifi/BT working, then a day later my phone died and once i turned it back on i had no service. just a circle with a line through it. ive tried restarting the phone, Resetting network aswell as Wifi/BT settings, and i even Wiped my entire phone clean back to Factory settings and STILL doesnt work. I know now i need to roll the software back to the previous version. WIsh me luck with this process, i have a feeling it wont work but lets see!

This might be a unique question. Today I was notified my s21 ultra was trying to update to Android 12. I hate Android 12 after leaving my pixel 5. Since I have turned on developer options and turned off auto updates I now have a floating notification stating a software update is available. How do I get rid of that? And everytime I accidentally click on it it ofcourse wants me to set a time to do it later, stating that if I don't choose to do it it'll forcibly do. Please tell me I can turn this off. Or, can I reset my phone and keep my current Android? Additionally, I was trying to make sure that my backup from Google was the only one to keep. But it says that if I turn off my auto backup it will delete my backup from last night before this attempted forced update.

I wouldn't mind doing the factory reset because I could just re-download my information from the cloud over night while I was sleeping. But my question would be could I disable automatic updates through developers options during the re-download process of resetting my phone from it's cloud backup.

@@md3869 so, I sadly don't know. Thus far I have avoided the issue just by ignoring the notification for a download. My phone gives me an option to be re-notified in 2 hours and it's just become a habit to do so. Sometimes, it will pop up saying I'm forced to update I just pulled down to look at my system settings or flashlight etc and I just click one of those and then it allows me to go back to my home screen. At this point I think we would both have to just factory reset. And during the reset we would have to go into developer options and disable Wi-Fi and disabled automatic updates. Once we disable automatic updates we can get the Wi-Fi back on and allow the phone to back up is normal.

I have a SAMSUNG A71 and so does a close friend - we bought them at almost the same time and near the same time both of our phones will now start losing volume randomly, mostly when making a call we realize we can't hear the other person. We have to reset our phones to fix it. I discovered more recently that the volume is affecting everything on the phone as if the speak is being turned off and a reset works. I find it too much of a co-incidence that both out phones of the exact model are experiencing the same issue and I have seen other people in this comments box complaining of low-volume issues since an update. This needs to stop and we need to get someone to decipher the code and prove that SAMSUNG are slowing down older phones and creating defects on purpose to cause users to search for new devices.

Then scroll down to where it says software update click it then press on it then press where it says permissions
