Thanks mate, I always thought you had to remove the whole dashboard to do that and it's actually a pretty easy job

Great info Thx, This helped me ! Time tips - I was converting the IPC from the old monochrome display, to the newer Color display like you have. it was a straight plug and play swap. ( just have to adjust the Mileage on the new unit to match your old mileage.) I managed to remove the IPC with out separating and removing the lower trim piece from the rubber segment that attaches the trim to the steering wheel like you did. on the left and right edges, the rubber gets caught on the dash. wiggle the rubber til it frees itself, and the lower trim piece will come much further forward allowing removal in place. the only other time save... I used a drill motor with a 1/4" drill to socket adaptor, 2 x 6" x 1/4 " extensions ( one was flexible but that doesn't matter to much ) and a deep well 7mm. this allowed me to reach the upper bolts with just the drill adapter and deep well, and then adding the extensions allowed me to go thru the steering wheel for the lower ones. Hope this helps someone else

hi where did you get that instrument cluster screen been trying to find one for ages
@MindsEyeVisualGuitarMethods Жыл бұрын
Once you get the cluster out how hard is it to remove the clear lens. All my gauges need a slight readjustment. Since I can't find anyone with the Ford tool I thought of seeing if I could pull off the needles and reapply them slightly adjusted to read correctly

Not sure but you can try, shouldn’t be that hard to take it off and see.

Do you know how to remove a troublesome factory alarm on 2016 ford transit connect small cargo van?

Did it change your mileage to the speedometer or you still have the old mileage
@dimascartech2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it change my mileage but I put the same speedometer back. This was not my Van. It’s better if you do some research to make sure, if you are planing on changing the speedometer.

The Mileage will not change automatically - If your changing units ( IPC), you must have the new Cluster (IPC) reprogrammed to match the correct mileage of the Old unit and vehicle. search the internet, there are company's that do this or you can potentially reprogram it yourself with Forscan if your familiar with that system.
