I ripped one of my airbag wires to my backseat, would they go off if I spliced them back together, and would the code go away if I cleared them with a code reader?
@MyAirbags Жыл бұрын
First, disconnect the battery, and then you can you can solder or splice them back together. For Toyota, you should not need a code reader to clear the code. It will clear itself after the problem is solved. However, if the vehicle was in an accident, then it would have crash data and need to be sent to myairbags.com to clear crash data/crash history.

I just got this message in my dash this morning. Ran a scan with my scanner and it gave my nothing, then later the message came back. Any thoughts on what could cause that?
@MyAirbags2 жыл бұрын
You must use a scanner that reads airbag codes. Then scan SRs airbag system for codes. If light just came on one day, then issue is most likely with a bad connection somewhere. If vehicle was in an accident then airbag module needs to be reset and seat belt need to be rebuilt if they are not working correctly.

I have 2017 Toyota camry, I do exactly like the guy and I don't see the airbag module inside like this car, do you have any idea where is it located
@MyAirbags5 жыл бұрын
Its in a different location in your 2017 model? If thats the case, then it should be more towards the back of the center/middle console. More towards where the driver would rest his/her right elbow. Directly underneath, on the floor. If you see it, would you reply back on here and let us know please?

Is the 2019 camry the same as the 18?
@MyAirbags5 жыл бұрын
David, As for the interior / console setup, the 2018 and 2019 are the same. The airbag module is definitely can differ from 2018 and 2019. For many cars, even the SAME year can have different modules. It depends on the different safety options it has and whats it programmed to/for. If you're trying to buy another module, its best to find one that has the same exact part number as your original. Or better yet, you can get your original reset and not have to worry about it not being a perfect fit and programming to your car. Hi, after an unsuccessful reset of SRS module (89170-06641) of my 2018 Camry, I have many malfunction messages on screen. After check with Techstream Diagnostic tool I realized that there are many DTC for communication faults - U0123, U0124,U0125, U0151. I checked all the cables, connections, fuses - everything looks good. On the connector have voltage. CAN BUS check shows there is no communication with airbag system only. I think my SRS module is dead. Is this possible?
@MyAirbags3 жыл бұрын
Reset will only clear crash data and crash codes, crash history. The airbag module should only be reset after vehicle was in an accident. The airbag control module can be bad and may need to be changed. Check the plug to make sure the pins are not bent, that can cause communication issues as well.

Can you demonstrate how to recalibrate the OCS? (Occupation Classification System) as I have a Toyota Corolla ‘14 which has been rear ended with zero deployment of airbags... I have researched for hours on end with no avail as to how I can recalibrate it with a scan tool. There are tons of videos out there on how to reset the light, but I don’t want to reset the light, I want to recalibrate the OCS without paying out the rear for a dealer job.

Beezy King, Are you getting either one of these two codes: B1795-occupant classification ecu malfuntion - OR - B1797-calibration abnormal If not, which codes are showing up?

The OCS code... it’s showing a malfunction however all wires are fine... which is what I don’t understand.
@MyAirbags5 жыл бұрын
If you have the actual code, that usually gives us a better sense of direction for troubleshooting... You can always try to run a Zero point calibration procedure on a scanner. The actual procedure steps differ from the scan tool being used.

Hi. I have a 2012 camry le 4 cylinder. Bought the car from offer up. I'm not sure if the previous owner had caused the car to be on a minor crash. Airbag light always turns on and stays on. Ran a ob2 pro scanner. It doesn't detect any airbag codes. Could the module be the problem?
@MyAirbags2 жыл бұрын
For Toyota vehicles most of the time after vehicle was in an accident then there will not be any codes in the airbag control module, this means the airbag control module has crash data/crash history stored and the airbag control module needs to be replaced or sent to myairbags.com to be reset.

Airbag control modules are literally not designed to be reset, once they fire, they are supposed to be replaced.
@MyAirbags5 жыл бұрын
Daniel, this is a really good point! Modules are computers that store codes in them. After an accident, the modules will store codes inside referring to the accident. The dealership will tell you they can't be cleared. They will tell you just to replace them with a brand new one. If you're rebuilding car, it is entirely possible to reset the collision / hard codes right out of the original module and it will work just as designed. This saves the re-builder hundreds $ in most cases. We are able to provide this service here: www.myairbags.com/
