How to remove stuck ignition switch / ignition barrel.

I have this exact problem..I need to drill the hole out bigger and hopefully it'll come out . Thanks for the video 👍.. Have ordered a new barrel for when I get the old one out It only cost me £11.00 from eBay 😁

Update .. Eventually I got my stuck barrel out ,following your method of drilling a bigger hole ..I drilled wider and deeper and eventually it popped out . Thanks for your video @fixeverything 👍😁 New barrel in and working 😁

Me i have a piece of plastic in the ignition and i cannot put key in,i cannot turn the key omg ,i need help ,you are very good with this

I don't know what you can do with the stuck piece of plastic.

I recommend to put a piece of wire in to try and get it out

If the ignition barrel is out, can you turn with screwdriver inside so the steering lock comes of?

I've currently got this problem and im considering drilling it Would a new barrel still fit and stay in this new housing? I've read in some places that if the battery is low or faulty, it might not release the key. Could that be a reason why the barrel won't come out?

You need to put key inside and turn then take it out not drill lol
