Is this procedure nearly the same for 1994-1998 Mustangs as well? I have a 1997 that I am replacing the fender on as it is damaged badly.

Yes it is very similar. The edge body is just a slightly revamped version of the previous body style. Good luck with it.

can't seem to take off the small piece of trim on the bottom, there was no bolt, but it's on there really good and I don't want to break it

There are four plastic clips that push in through mounting holes that you just need to pry out first ( pry the whole trim piece with the plastic push clips still in ). You will use a pretty lot of force, but you shouldn't break anything. . After they are removed pull it forward and it will come off. Good luck with it !

+lastmoto777 thanks for the reply, I pulled it pretty hard, but still didn't come off, I didn't have the right angle or leverage to pull them out. Might give it another try next time I get a chance.

The door is heavy so I would see if someone can help with it.Its easy to damage a door or tweek the hinges if you lose control of the door.Best of luck with it

IDK, Maybe you can remove all the bolts you can get to, and then try to bend the fender toward the front; or cut it if you can. just try not to damage the door in the process.Best of luck with that.

Loosen the 3 bolts on top of the fender then use a flat head screw driver to push it back then tighten them back up

The rear fenders are beyond the ability of the average do it yourselfer. There is cutting & welding involved. Thats kind of a Body shop type of repair. Good luck with it.

Tony Murray I'm not sure about the 99-04 specifically, but I know the 94-98s are welded on. You can't just unbolt them.

No, you dont have to take the wheel off. I just did because its a little easier to get to the inside nuts on the bumper bracket. Either way will work. Good luck with that.

white guys use extensions hahaha I a mexican use ingenuity lol half way opened the door and I unscrewed the top fender screws letting it come off easy , fit my hand and into the gap in between door and fender and I unscrewed it off less than 10 sec it woulda took me 20 to find that dammn extension lol.
