Thank you for posting and sharing your education. I have been charging my and jumping myself for over an entire year. When I opened the hood the first time to check, it looked like a pain in the ass. Charging and jumping it was just seemingly easier (especially since it started in the winter. I wasn’t gonna play in the snow ❄️ to replace it, and I couldn’t get my ☃️ to help 🤣 *plus after I charged the battery it it held the charge for 5ish months. Ok, I’ll shut up now. Again, thank you for showing the world how to do it. You made it look simple and spoke clearly. 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼

@@GettingItDoneRepairs GUESS WHAT?!? You were right! Not only did I do it, but I also did it in the dark, (well, with a flashlight) AND ONE HANDED! I just had my 3rd rotator cuff repair surgery on 10/6!! That was my 8th surgery for my right arm, 4th for the shoulder too… I am very right hand dominate! Hardest part was actually lifting the batteries. I wasn’t so lucky for them to have put handles on either one of them… but, we all know “work smarter, not harder!” I made a handle for both of the batteries using duct tape! So, with the help of duct tape and gravity, BabyToe (my cars name) is starting again without a jump!! Thank you again for you’re help!

I went for my 1st physio therapy session for my right arm yesterday. I have a tear in a tendon. It sucks at times. Unreal you are on your 4th surgery.

BabyTo(E)is a 2015 Sorrento, hence it’s name… it was the only way I could remember that it was a sorrenTO(E) when I bought it. I had a 2007 Yukon Denali XL (Denny) prior to BabyToe. It was massive compared to this tiny car. Oh, I do have to correct my previous statement, I wasn’t entirely alone, even though it was midnight when I started to do the battery, I had mousy 🐭🐁friend trying to help. At least it wasn’t one of the many bears that have been coming into many parts of the city and to enjoy a nice trash picnic 🧺 Anyway… that is absolutely crazy about your shoulder too and the timing. My first shoulder surgery 3/2018 was a labrum tear. 4/19/2019, 9/17/2021, and now 10/6 were all rotator cuff. The 2021 surgery actually made it worse. I haven’t been able to wash or brush my own hair, for example, in over a year now. I’ve figured out how to do it and have learned how to use other parts of my body to do stuff, like lifting the batteries with my left arm and thigh. Lol Good luck to you if you also have to have surgery.

On the 2020 Sorento the tabs work differently. You need to push in the center not pull out center.

What happens when the screws won’t separate? The screwdriver is chewing into the plastic & the center will not separate.

I had to stick a flathead between the screw and the housing to encourage it to come out. That worked for one but broke another.
