How to Remove the Cabinet on an Amana Washer

Short Video on how to remove the outer case on an Amana Washing Machine. Knowing how to do this will help you with any repair you need to do on this washer.
If you have a broken motor coupler or a plugged up drain pump you will need to remove the cabinet to make it easier to work on.

Hi Bill. I'm posting this on your video because I like your clear and camera-steady presentation. Can you do a video on how to clean a washing machine? My Amana (cheap $299 model) works fine, except that lately (3 year old machine), after each spin, I get a rotten eggs smell. I've read that it's because it needs cleaning. But what exactly do I need to clean, and where are those places, and how do I get to them? I just ran some bleach through, and that helps for now, but I'd rather find the source of the problem and clean it out. A video showing all this would be helpful.

I have a Kenmore with no visible screws. Completely baffled me. Turned out that the end caps are a snap fit. In my case you kind of place your fingers over the top to the back lift, and peel that towards you. Then continue to rotate the whole cap in the same direction. Once the end caps are off you can see the two screws that hold the control panel down. Maybe that will be helpful. After that it was just like this video. for those who do not know, this is a Whirlpool direct drive washer with a sticker that says Amana. Whirlpool aquired this name when they bought a World leader in appliances..Maytag which i am sorry to say is no longer around...just stickers
