Thanks for sharing. I'm having trouble putting my door panel back on. The rod for the door lock is in the way and won't go into the just right sized hole for it until the door is in place. Any recommendations for installing it correctly?

Sometimes they can be finicky, make sure your lock rod is in the hold Down clamps and try it in the lock and unlock positions, I’ve had a few fight me over the years.

@@TanTinPerformance, thanks. I was just doing it wrong and trying to make it a bigger problem than it actually was. For the record, the little rod doesn't go through the piece of plastic with the screw, which is what I was trying to do. It's all settled now. Thanks so much!!!

How did this job turn out? Im currently installing the same a crossover and tweeter seems pretty self explanatory. But i have a issue where a installer has all my wiring outside of the water barrier and it actually pinched and cut off my right blinker, mirror controls, and few others. Would just pop a fuse so i had to pull the panel despite taking it to a “professional” to install some stuff. So ive had to insulate each tiny wire coming into the door and wiring the crossovers now since its exposed. I want to tuck that harness back through the door but cant find a video how its run without window interference, also did u just cut the pos/neg going to the factory tweeter tie into your crossover then tweeter? And were you able to mount the crossover in your pillar or was there clearance issues? Also ive got a airbag service message after i removed my steering wheel bag to replace the bottom stering control. I disconnected my negative terminal and reconnected after. I run code but no codes but do have the light on my dash as well. I appreciate the help and advice you give to viewers.

I mount most my cossovers under the power management box on each side of the dash. I normally run new wire up to the tweeter in the pillar I normally cut the wire coming out of the plug going into the door. Then hook the wires for the midrange in the door to the crossover and use the signal wire from the plug to hook in to the input of the cossover.

one of my lift off clips broke. What are they called so can order one. I have an 04 Tahoe it is the dark gray colored hook type at top of door.

If it’s the new body style they will physically fit but the controls mount in the door panel differently.

I want to paint my door panels but I’m not too confident in putting all the wires back in place. Should i just tape up the surroundings and paint the door panel?

It pretty self explanatory the plugs only can go in one way, but if your just painting the door panel masking it probably be faster then removing it.

4 screws and 9 clips later I still can't get the panel off of my 2000 Escalade.

A 2000 escalade is the old body style and has a different door panel and they are a little bit more involved to take off

It comes from the clear and red reflector on the back side there’s a slot for it.
