Thanks Faye, used your great video to install a new radiator on my 3rd Gen T4R. My plastic grill had never been removed so all of the clips were pristine. Then I broke (2) on the re-install.....................grrrrrrr. It is so easy to snap those tiny plastic pieces. Toyota designers should have used steel in places of that plastic. No biggie, all in all, Toyota designs are made to last, and made to be serviced. I can work on the truck and have the confidence the repair will last, that the over-all system will continue to do its job.

First video of yours I’ve seen... also the first video in KZbin history without a single troll lurking in the comments section... punched 2 holes in my 3rd gen 4runner yesterday when installing fog lights - such a stupid move and I had a premonition that told me to go grab the dremmel or to remove the skid plate just as I attacked it with a sawsall... Anyway, your video was very helpful and enjoyable to watch. You’ve got yourself another subscriber. Keep up the good work! Jay

Thank you, Faye-- I laughed at the black silky chicken. I cried when I realized ABA clamps and that weird clamp removal tool are really a thing. I scratched my chin and learned more about the coolant lines to the transmission (which I think is a stupid design rather than a separate cooling radiator). I found a hairline crack in the top of my radiator after a weekend jaunt to scope out a haunted cabin in the woods. I doubt it was malevolent spirits, my 1997 4runner Gretta has seen a lot in her 308K miles. Needless to say, thanks for the walkthrough--I wish there were more like you! I'm one that loves the spring clamp, the difference between them is that you can drive home with spring clamps and get towed with worn clamp. Worm clamps also rust up and you have cut the hose and can't reuse either one, spring clamps last longer and allow excess pressure build up to escape. Just my 20 years experience on the job☺️👍

I'm looking into B&M or possibly a Hayden type cooler. I'm gonna run the cooler in series with the radiator to stabilize it for winter use as well. I'll be running the inlet from the bottom to outlet top, to prevent air pockets in the cooler. I may also run a filter through the lines to aid in cleaning the ATF. Keep up the good work! 👍

Just a tip, You do NOT have to unbolt the reciever/drier (soda can shape thing) on the a/c system to get to that bottom corner bolt. If you go from underneath theres a hole big enough to fit your hand and a ratchet in there and loosen the bolt, atleast thats how it was on my 97 V6.
