Decorator from Belfast here. Enjoy your videos. This is basically the method I use. 2 things that I find make the job easier is using a paint shuttle with a roller on a pole for applying the water and a filling knife rather than a scraper. The thinner, more flexible blade is much quicker.

@@andrewgooding854 brilliant to hear from you Andrew m8 and we both go the similar way.... how do you yourself rate the steamers?

@ I’m not a fan either. Too easy to blow the plaster. For really tough jobs like painted woodchip I usually just go straight at it with the big 2 handed scraper and no water. Does cause some damage tho

Does my head in when the customer leaves a little patch on the wall let alone stripping the whole room 😂 Good job though

I use a steam machine and it just scrapes off fairly clean
@macplastering15 күн бұрын
@Adanacon we done a test before this way worked out faster again was a cheap steamer the other thing I see loads of is when some one uses a steamer prior to us coming to re skim it always blows huge spots of as they hold it too long in the areas and the heat pops the plaster

let the water do the work :)

Yes sure you are 100% right I should have showmen that if you wet it a few times and just let it soak it is far easier thanks for commenting
