How to remove wind noise on the GoPro Hero 7 completely for under £6.

Removing wind noise on the GoPro Hero 7 for under £6. Windslayer review. Is the windslayer any good. Wind noise fix whilst motovlogging. Cheap fix to remove wind noise.

Just received my windslayer from amazon ($11) it definitely reduced the wind noise by a ton! But still you can hear that wind noise. Going to try this method out hopefully it works! Also going to be getting a chin mount, currently placed my camera on top of my helmet so I believe it serves no justice lol. Ill keep anyone updated.

So sorry, but the thing on the bottom you noted as a microphone is actually the speaker. There are two microphones, one on the side above the power button, and one in front of the door used to access the USBc charging port and the micro SD card.

Question, does the wind slayer restrict air ventilation as well ??? The 7 overheats so I can't have it in the car. Just purchased a panel bolt mount which will place the camera on my roof visor and I'll definitely need a wind muff to prevent the wind noise. I just don't want to defeat the purpose of placing it up there to begin with

My question for the wind slayer is if it prevents air ventilation as well as noise.. I try using my hero 7 black as a dash cam but it overheats quickly.

I've been trying to do this but haven't had much luck. There is no mic on the bottom like you say in the video, what you're covering there is the speaker. The mics are on the left at the top and on the right near the bottom front corner just next to the charger door opening. But I taped all places including the bottom speaker part just in case and I still get wind. I don't have the wind sleeve on top though.. I'm about to order one I think.

Exactly my experience, i am also struggling with same problem. What i found is if we use go pro audio to wind only then top mic is used and i tried everything to cover that but no use. Windslayer is next i am trying need to get 1

Using gaffer tape would probably be better for audio quality than electrical tape but most likely not that noticeable by the average ear. I’m a 30 year audio engineer and overly picky.

Hello. I have a water proof case and the sound is not very good. The waterproof case picks up all sorts of noises, even touching it slightly gives off a lot of feed back through the sound. When using the waterproof case I would say is only for video footage. Video footage great, sound very poor.

I’m still using the same one now, it’s been amazing. I still have my spare ones tucked away. The corners have started to tear slightly with taking it on and off the camera to change the battery, otherwise it’s been well with the couple of quid. Hope this helps and thanks for your message.

Did the windslayer give the same results as the bits of sponge? Just used my gopro for the first time and the wind noise is horrendous!

Hello, thanks for your message. You know I have never used the windslayer just on its own. I have had this video up for a year and I’m using the same bits of sponge and the same windslayer believe it or not and the sound quality is still good. I have never changed them. I find using the sponge as well as the windslayer acts as double protection and does not affect the audio quality.

First..this video could literally be 2 minutes long instead of 7min of which your repeating gibberish.. Second..this sponge thing is USELESS if you don't use the foam cover I guess...I just tried it without the wind slayer and it does not work. And third and most importantly the bottom little grill you're covering is the speaker not the microphone.
