Great video! My gosh, I tried it, and my bowl’s seat, seat lid, tank lid, and exterior are not only de-stained, they gleam and literally squeak! About the cleanup, I used super-soaked sturdy paper towels to ‘rinse off,’ along with the newly-rinsed toothbrush to go back around the hardware, then wiped dry with as many. The reason I did was because I knew any amount of the paste residue would be caustic to the skin, plus bleach out any fabric that happened to come into contact. Not bad for about 50c worth of materials and 15 min of my time. Unfortunately as great fun is often wont to do (like young brothers wrestling on the living room floor until someone gets hurt), the joy didn’t last - I realized how awful my newly sparkling bowl made the rest of my bathroom look, and launched into a whole bathroom super cleaning from which I may never return. An additional note … I wouldn’t use the paste on any finished metals, faux-finishes, (even painted) woods, or mirrors. And lastly, always replace the toilet seats and toilet paper holders whenever you move, as your first order of business!

Wish I’d known this before. I threw away a toilet seat because I could not get the yellow staining off. I tried everything I could think of. If this act works you’ll have my lasting gratitude.

Sometimes it’s better to replace if the stain has been there awhile.

I had wood toilet seats where this did not work, and other tougher chemicals removed the white paint so we had to replace the wood toilet seats with plastic ones. They’re so much easier to clean.

Hi there - I’d use at least a 6% hydrogen peroxide (or stronger). This has worked well for me. 3% peroxide is useless for tough stains. Besides, why not use a strong bleach product. I’d use bleach, with baking soda. The baking soda has a mild corrosive effect which helps remove the stains. Good luck.

Really ? 3% hydrogen peroxide ? I’d use 6% at least - stronger if you can get it. 3% is too weak for tough bathroom stains. Besides, a thick, strong bleach will do the job fairly well also. Leave it in the toilet to soak.

Hydrogen peroxide is awesome as it remove all organic stains , I use it alot around the home . Especially if dog is in season as it removes all blood clot stains if she has walked across a mat or light carpet . Not to mention sterilising the area . Great hack have done this a few times with youngest when not aiming properly or sitting on the loo .👌👌

It takes the stain off, but ruins the paint on a wood seat. So must be only good for plastic

Could be yellowish in appearance from faded paint if it's a wooden seat. In that case, this would only strip more paint
