sorry for the late response. It was one of those I printed out from the website. You can try this go to -portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/OnlineQueryStatus enter your application type, reference No., ID and click SEARCH RECORD.

I am in the process of renewing my expired Nigerian Passport in DC and have completed the application. My appointment is for September 2024. No. When I booked my appointment, the next available date was September so I did some research and found out that they take walk ins for additional $100. So u need to book appointment first and if u don't like the date the system gave u, u can just do the walk in. U don't need to book walk in. Just go with all the required documents. I don't know where u live and what's applicable there. The information that I stated here is for Washington DC embassy. Other locations may have different procedures. U just have to check the website of wherever u are for additional information

I decided to go to Nigeria with my expired passport because my traveling date is very near and the only appointment I was able to get at Nigeria embassy is by November this year whereas am traveling to Nigeria by April. So I plan on doing it once I get back. We are allowed to travel to Nigeria with expired passport provided you have another passport that can bring you back. I have a valid US passport.
