I am so proud of this, my brother. I can't love you enough. This is a typical Igbo man mentality we're all known for as our culture. I live in Canada and I am building my own house in my hometown, and I feel so good about it. Some people and few friends asked me why I was building in Nigeria? How many times do I go to Nigeria? Who is going to live in the massive house? I told them I am not retiring in Canada. I have dual citizenship. It's better to build in Nigeria now if you have the capacity and what it takes. If you don't, you’ll regret it later when you get old. I'm still in my youthful age and I'll finish the house next year. I am making sure the house has everything that I enjoy abroad. You better start building now to avoid had I known.

It’s great that you are building in Nigeria, a quick question is that why did you leave Nigeria in the first place if it is so good as you claim. No one is going to regret anything because everyone has their mentality as per what they want in life. Nigeria is one of the best places to live in but no basic amenities of life. So it depends on what you want out of life. If you’re looking for life with basic amenities of life then Nigeria is not the place for you. If you build your house and wait till you are old before going to live there by then you may not have the strength to live in the big house. Currently Nigerians are not even secure in their own villages talk less of you that they know you have lived abroad. If Nigeria has the basic amenities of life people will come down to live there. You can also live country life in America or any other developed country. FYI you can also get lots for $1700 in America and also build your own well. So choose wisely brother.

Insecurity in America is still worse though. I have lived in USA close to 40 yrs so I know that as fact. I now live between Nigeria and USA 50/50 until I attain full retirement age. Insecurity in America is still worse? That means you must have been living in the worst part of America for almost 40 to compare the insecurity in Nigeria with that of America and that why you craving to go back home. Many folk who have built a life worth living or established in America don't think of going back to one of the most insecure part of the world to go and live in. Let's call a spade a spade and say the truth. I also know that most Nigerians do not like to say the truth.

@@avalancheabundance lol. You are funny!! I swear . You make me laugh. Omg! Tell me anywhere safe in the USA ? From East, west, north to the south? Can you compare the gun violence anywhere in nigeria to that of NY or California ? You must be a newer resident, less than 10-20 yrs old in America. No worry. You will understand when you hit 60 or 70 yrs old 😅 FYI . I am very comfortable and well financially vested in the systems in USA & Nigeria. I am comfortable enough to reside in a highest state per earnings in USA. I am also well educated and professional in my field. while I have my tenants pay good rents to me even as I reside 50% of my time in nigeria, I will tell you that I am in a better position to inform you where I feel safer because I reside in both countries. Let’s not even talk about the psychological burden on most Americans😅 is there any other country in the world where people are more depressed?
@avalancheabundance
@avalancheabundance Ай бұрын
@@RealTalk196 you also make me laugh too by comparing individual kidnappings in Nigeria to the mass shooter shooting in the United States. At least in America, with me carrying my gun on me I can stop some of the depressed mass shooters. But in Nigeria, traditional rulers with police are being killed ruthlessly and you call that being safe? Do you know how many Obas, have been killed in their own village? Being well educated and professional in your field doesn’t mean that you know everything and can always make the right decisions. Also, old age doesn’t equal wisdom so ask the Universe to direct you right. We all have different mindset towards life and no one is above mistake so be guided.
@RealTalk196
@RealTalk196 Ай бұрын
@@avalancheabundance Should we really continue this conversation? I can tell you for free that acts of crime in nigeria are caused by social issues the govt failed to address. Kidnappings of rulers like you stated are mostly politically motivated. Nigeria continue to thrive despite the harsh economic situation and is peaceful depending on your location and social strata. Now, what are the excuses for series of crime in many parts of the USA ? The govt provides adequately for its citizens , or don’t they? Yet, there are tons of kidnappings of citizens , murders, etc the data should show you you won’t see many incidences on your local tv. You only see mostly mass shootings on CNN and you call that safe? Unlike Nigeria , a single life is valuable and orchestrated nationwide when lost! This is the reason it may seem to people like you that Nigeria is not a good place at all. Not telling you it’s fantastic but every nation has its problems. To me, Nigeria is definitely not as bad as portrayed and would conveniently reiterate that crime is worse off in the USA! If you are not seeing it in your area , does not mean they do not exist. I don’t see criminality around me in nigeria either. I don’t have the exposure. Listen, do you!! I am doing me right here and feeling quite safe and happy.😃😃😃

If only alot of us all can after generating enough resource, come back to build a legacy or even build while they are away which inturn not only favours them but becomes a transgenerational wealth system that even their generations to come can make the most of is always brilliant thing to do while we are young, energetic and have to capacity to achieve these all. I pray for us all and hope that we build our country by building our own homes one brick at a time.

Sentiments aside, I added an important "caveat" especially for those living abroad and even for some living in Nigeria. When you sell an idea, tell your audience the pros and cons. You may get to sleep in village house for a maximum of 3 weeks in a whole year on the average! Sometimes, 0 weeks in a year! Not to talk of insecurity that will discourage you from coming back sometimes. It is ok to build but just take it as an expenditure. I will also suggest that you don't over spend on village house. You will still practically lock the house up without using it. Even if your relative lives there, expect wear and tear. Eventually, you may discover that you built it for them. The guy in the video was feeling rich because of the house he built in the village. It's not entirely the case. I maintain that it's mostly an expenditure and not an asset.

You people complain too much. Why do you have to be always negative all the time? Nigeria is not the worst country in Africa or in the world! Do you think you can protest in a military regime? In some countries in Africa, you can not protest or say a word about your president. In some African countries you are prohibited to even speak your own language. Why are you people this bad? What is your responsibility in all of this? You are the same person that would steal public property for your pocket. You are worse than those politicians you accuses every time.

The sickness is caused by all those fake foods filled with e numbers , pesticides, stress etc. if you eat right, trek more the only sickness is malaria which herbs cure. My grand parents lived all their lives in the village they lived into their 100s with full memory , none of these dementia arthritis, they were going to the farm till the last day. Transitioning in their sleep. It’s the same with most people too.
