The teslas are amazing. Very fun to drive and smooth. And I have owned many luxury cars with high horsepower big engines and the Tesla is just really economical. The charging at superchargers is surprisingly cheap, especially during nonpeak hours.

Yes, it was fun renting it and I didn't even mind going out of my way to charge it every morning. I just planned around it and cleaned the car while charging. Way more chargers around LA now than only 6 months ago. The cameras really help when picking up in crowded areas and scooters. I would say 90% of all my passengers it was their first time riding in a Tesla and the tourists really enjoyed it.

I rented the standard range for a week. With charging it was $540. I think it's better just to buy a used long range with 30k miles for like $35k. Put a nice down payment of like $15-20k and you have a low car payment that you can pay off in a year no problem

My thing is it’s a staggering up front cost. I’m still concerned about renting because I don’t want to drive everyday I just need a car to get to my job which is almost 32 miles away. I can drive on the weekends to make the rental costs.

They do got cheeper cars, think it was about $210. You could do that on the weekends to cover the cost. You need to have done 200 rides first if you're starting out with Uber before renting a Tesla if that is your case.

I don’t understand why you subtracted the total by 188 that’s how many drives you did. If you made 2 grand in that one week it was worth it.

I subtracted $188 because EV cars make $1 extra per ride regardless if pax choises Uber green or not.

I don't think they're offering a promotion right now. But in the beginning they did offer free charging.
