But what about the rigidity that leaves the wheel when you heat it? Because it's tempered aluminum, it will never be the same ever again if you heat it past a certain point. Sorry to say that I have no idea what that point might be, but if heating your rim made it more malleable, I'd bet dollars to donuts that you exceded it. Has the wheel held up ok since you made the video? Would appreciate any feedback.

I’ve had wheels straightened before. Used them on a track bike (‘05 R1) and on the street for many years after. No worries.... I let a pro do it who was kind enough to let me watch the process. He did not heat the wheel as much as this gentleman, but has a heat/beat/cool/repeat process. He also had the wheel mounted on a custom stand with a feeler gauge to ensure pure straightness. I would think that this method had the potential to crack the wheel...

is that a permanent solution or a temporary one?

Are those steel or alloy wheels?

Was it bent to the point the tire bead wouldn't hold? I would have used a mallet with the tire on if that was the case. Heating the rim is a bad idea.

and what about the paint

when you are making it hot, you are weakening the material, OK may be for Enduros or slower bikes but to ride after with +100kmh i would NEVER suggest. What happend if someone without any clue copy this shit and after having a serious accident because the dent is coming back when riding fast??? :/
