This is my fourth or fifth video that I have watched to fix my mother's faucet in the kitchen. The thing that you did really really well that none of the others did was to explain in detail how to put the items back in what direction to face them and what the smaller and is and where it fits. These are all things that a regular person would not even notice and then have trouble putting the faucet back together. Thank you so much for your video.

Glad it worked out. I do all my videos like I am a regular person because basically I am :-)

Delta has a great step-by-step visual product identifier. It even helped me find the right part for our 20 year old faucet!

When I went to the delta website, I found a spot to upload a photo of my faucet that was leaking. I awaited an email from them to tell me what part numbers I should be shopping for. Less than a week later I received a package in the mail with the parts for my faucet! Impressive....very impressive!!!

Thanks. Maybe it's clear because I'm not a plumber :-) I explain things how I would want them explained to me.

Thanks for this video. Definitely saved a few hundred bucks. Plumber wanted 100 just to show up. I followed this step by step & worked great. I’m proud of myself too. Hardest thing was unscrewing it!!

I have heard similar stories. Many plumbers won't tell you how easy this is. This is something they don't want you to know.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I ordered parts from Amazon before I saw your video. Wish I’d realized Delta had a lifetime warranty. Next time! Great views and detail of the work that needs to be completed. Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly for me. ☺️

Good wee vid, I'd often wondered what was inside one of those joystick taps. Keep on encouraging folks to fox things - we need more of that attitude. Cheers mate.

Thanks! I have the Diamond Seal cartridge, which is $30 at Lowes. I would have never guessed they gave a lifetime warranty -- so thank you for that nugget! I submitted my request online, but it says they are backed up due to Covid. We'll see how long it takes.

Nice. But I need bottom washer replaced. (the one that would cause water to leak out of the base of the faucet)

What if it does continue to drip? I have this exact sink and it’s continuously dripping still
@AlleyPicked10 ай бұрын
If it's dripping after you replaced the washers, my guess is that you either installed them incorrectly, or they are the wrong ones for your model.

My delta faucet is leaking in a different location than the two locations you identified in this video. Mine is leaking around the base of the single handle.
@AlleyPicked4 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. Is it actually leaking from the base or it it leaking higher up and dripping down the back side? I do show how this single handle comes apart. I would guess that the issue is one of these parts. Hard to say without looking at it myself.
@notmynic4 жыл бұрын
@@AlleyPicked You are correct. It is leaking between the handle and the base and dripping down the back side. I have already replaced the seats and springs, but perhaps I didn't get them seated correctly. Thanks for the video.

What types of wrenches do you use to remove the sheath before getting to the stainless steel ball assembly (around the 2:15 mark in the video)?
@AlleyPicked4 жыл бұрын
You can use any channellock pliers that are large enough. I happen to have 2 different designs of this "vice-grip" pliers that I picked up.

The brand is Craftsman he’s using. I’ve got a pair as well, they are great as they lock with pressure to the handles as opposed to adjusting. I don’t have one quite as big as the ones used in this video. Sorry after watching for the 5th time I realized it’s the top wrench that is the craftsman. I’m not sure of the bottom one.

Can I just use Vaseline instead of plumber's grease?
@AlleyPicked3 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. I am not a plumber but the consistency of the plumbers grease does look like vaseline. Couldn't hurt. I would try it.
