More than likely it means Reduced Barrier hose. Reduced barrier hoses have the same ID as standard barrier A/C hoses. However, the wall thickness of a reduced barrier hose is thinner.

im going to crimp garden hose fitting w ferrules, but my ferrules need to be longer as only 2 of the 3 indentations fit on the ferrules, dixon,and dramm make hose crimper dixon model 860 large hose crimper,they work differently,but similar results,dramm ferrules only fit their thicker hose ,so it takes some trial n error to find milton or gates,gilmour,or other propper sized ferrules for a good crimp on barbed fittings,for that factory look,without hose clamps, pex crimp rings,or clam shell,repair fittings,generally 5/8 and 3/4 I.D.

At the 2 ends of the AC lines are adapter plates that bolt to the compressor so that the AC line stays in place. Can u tell me if those adapter plates are free to rotate around the pipe? Some Compressor has bolt holes that are at the opposite side so I dont know if i need a new pipe or just rotate and reuse it. Thanks

I’m new to doing air-conditioning and I just recently bought the crimper. When I put the bead lock fitting on do I need to put gasket inside the brad lock before crimping? Or only the gasket on the outside that hooks to the compressor? Thank you in advance.

NO, this is made specifically to the O.D. of Air Conditioning hose.

No proper procedure, suppose to run down snug and back off 1/2 turn and then crimp. There is no bypass on my pump and I have a mastercool 71500
