I'm going to try this on my 1980 Goldwing. I think it's likely to work because the rollers, springs, caps are exactly the same part numbers for my Wing as for at least 150 different Honda models. I found that info on the CMSNL website under cross linked machines. Since thats the case , i think it's a good assumption that the diameter of the hub gripped by the rollers is the same also, even though my starter gear is a different part number. It's worth a shot to try and upgrade this common failure point on the Hondas, especially since the Goldwing requires engine removal.

Oooh ! Don't assume because the rollers, springs and caps are the same that it will work ! It is the carrier that will make all the difference. I'd definitely check the diameters first. For example the CB1100R starter hub dimension is ever so slightly larger than that on the R6 and if it is in good condition (as mine was) then you actually have to grind it down a bit otherwise the starter clutch will not have enough "slack" for the starter motor to turn. It is VERY sensitive !! Good luck and let me know how you get on !

I know the 5EB ones work best, but I can't vouch for other models. Sorry.
