I have to do this, for my house. First time. I bought the Sakrete Type S. At first, this will be to repair a hole leading to the basement, where the brick on the house meets the driveway. I’ll see if the 3 or so brick stairs can use some work also. But question. I see those videos where people pour some powder, to fill cracks on concrete steps. Do you think this works better for that? Maybe it’s not smooth enough.

That is a helpful tip with using the painters tape. You did a fine job Eclectic Handyman👍🏼 if I’m not mistaking the professional ones that do this type of work call it “tuck pointing” but that’s from my old data bank that might be wrong😂 I hope you have a great Summer MMM! 🤗

You don't remove any loose mortar first?

@@babineaux072284 Yeah use a wire brush to get loose mortar and debris removed, then patch and repair 🛠️
