Now that I've seen this very thorough, informative explanation, I am 100% confident I won't have time or the tools to do this job myself and I can skip straight to calling in an expert : ) Thanks for not leading me on with a 90-second fly-over!

Thank you Jack, we have an old house with a bathroom about 50+ years old and I'm working on cleaning out the grout and tiles are breaking and shifting. This video showed just what I'm up against. So, well done, easily understood and the results looks great. I appreciate this so much. Rock On!

Jack, I've just found this channel via the bathroom tile repair. I'm on my lunch break and have spent the last two hours fussing with old grouts and grime in preparation for an identical job. Your video is incredible and the work ethic shows. There are two other comments, above or below, that speak of how much this repair would cost. One quotes 5-6k; I wish, but I don't believe it'd be that much. However, I am interested in knowing what you'd quote on a job like this. Could you break down time/material? I would love to know, as I can relate to your work ethic (in progress) and professionalism here. I work and live in the same apartment complex for $10.50hr and will surely be rushed through this project while grasping to quality with all my strength haha. I just want an idea of what i'm really worth; Assuming I follow the work ethic displayed in this video! Can't wait to get off work and check out some more of your stuff!

Is there any chance you have anymore of those beige speckled tiles around, that you show in this video. I broke a couple in my bath tub, and am having a hell of a time finding them.
@calvinklein5644 жыл бұрын
which caulk you used for bath? Besides, so for the bottom line-the joint between tile and bathtub, I saw you didn't put grout and used caulk only?
@yodaclay48404 жыл бұрын
At 0:49 he used grout to go over the tiles to set the cracks.
@JaxBushman3 жыл бұрын
Yes it's silicone caulk. It's recommended to use silcone where tub meets tile and bc it's waterproof

Prices may vary .If you can find an honest contractor ,between 5 or 6 grand.

@@ron-uc9mf LOL! Let me guess. You're that "honest" contractor? I could do an entire 50 sq/ft bathroom including shower install, tiling, flooring, and a new vanity for that price.
