first of all what a good video! I completely disassembled the lens. Whatever I try I can't get the small lens clean. part cyi-2532. Do I have to do anything with this? Maybe i can send it to you and pay you for that? I try to make my dad happy with it so he can use his lens again

Hey, thanks for the video. Its quite amaging to watch a step by step repair done by the professional. One thing though, I happen to have the same lens (canon ef 28-70 f2.8) which ive been using for more than 5 years. But 3 months before i gave it to a well known repair shop for a servicing at it small fungus and some dust. Now the dust is clean and the fungus are all gone but i find the lens is a bit blurry as compared to before. I can say it is a bit old without any scratches but still i can see a bit of a blur (unfocused) while operating manually. I told the repair shop about that but they say it is as good as new but iam yet to convince myself that is as clear as i first used it. Is there any way to fix it? I cant find any scratches or dust but the lens is out of focus. Sorry, it was a bit long😁. Thanks.

What is the trick to remove the small screws on the metal tab at 3:12 - 3:15 in the video? I cannot get them to move and feal like the head will strip if I use any more strength than I am.

Rock them back and forth until they release. They can be very tough sometimes

Same issue here, Can anyone give me the correct size of these so I can order some more spare as the ones I have I'm afraid I will strip and have to file out.

Thanks for the video. However the key parts are not shown, just a little magic... Taking apart that last lens element is quite annoying. Finally I got it done (also with reassembling the aperture parts which I definitely won't recommend to do...) but I was not able to clean the blurry lens element what was the whole reason for that exercise. It seems to be the inner side of the last lens element, but nothing really worked - no lens cleaning fluid, ultrasonic bath with water, alcohols. Quite frustrated I reassembled the lens just to see whether it still works.

When it's 28mm F2.8, the center is focus, but right area is blur. I used the chart. Is this decentered? Do you know how to fix this?

hi this is axis problem (alignment of the lens groups inside the lens) . Send it to Canon official service or to us :)

Hey quick question. I have a new lens & 2 others. My 24-70 2.8 ii is loose. I don't know if it's extreme, but it jiggles if i shake it.. Canon wants to charge $180 to 375. Is that too much? & i reset my camera body a month ago bc the camera acted strange or maybe the sd card. Canon i think had both lenses adjusted to the camera. ##my question is, do i have to start all over now that i have a new lens & my old 2 lenses? Micro adjust or so? I have no clue what the did, but i reset the camera to default ... Pls help

Your videos are very clear, but i wouldn't dare try it. I would probably ruin the lens or lose parts.

hi , it depends of the problem . If i'm not wrong this is electrical problem . More or less the estimation will be below 180 USD but to be precise i need the lens in my workshop:)

@@DIGISERVICEBG ok. Where are you located? & if i reset the camera body to default, I'd have to re calibrate the lenses again with the camera body? I'm not experienced with this part. Damn. Now i have a new lens & I'd have to do all 3 I'm guessing.
