In very poor countries purchasing a brand new battery could mean there's no money available for basic necessities. We can at least learn from this person's video that buying something new is not always practical when there are other alternatives. Companies in this business do sell refurbished lead acid batteries but they are still not cheap. Thanks for sharing this process. You're very resourceful considering the limited amount of tools and materials you have access to.

Making use of the kzbin.infoUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type

*This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

Hello friend, is it important to re-seal the cover tightly after replacement of damaged plates in a cell ?? Or if we do not cover the battery at all?? No.2 how did melt the iron rod with two pliers?? Thnks for the good video btw.
@GospodinJean3 жыл бұрын
he melt it with electricity
@red29653 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely it's important to seal it because if you don't you're going to lose your acid acid is very caustic and I guarantee you don't want it on yourself or metal. He did not use the pliers to melt the metal he used the pliers to lift the plates up and the other part was where he melted the lead and then poured it in with a ladle in a mold
@machinerydoctor4 жыл бұрын
For the naive Battery cells were once sealed with tar . When the battery dropped a cell , the tar was melted out which allowed all the plates to be removed and cleaned etc etc . Reinstall the plates and heat the tar and pour in the top joint around the lid . The battery manufacturers realised that they could sell more batteries if they were sealed and not repairable . These men are doing the planet a big favour by repairing these batteries . Salute 👍

here's a few things for battery reconditioning never try to do this until you are sure what you are doing - the acid can burn your skin Test the voltage first - there may be a dead cell which would waste your time. Check the battery fluid. Try to fully charge the battery. (I learned about these and more from Jons mender guide site )
