There comes a time when said selector fails and we need to replace it and many times we have to. However, we have the option to repair it when it gets stuck and it is very easy to do so. The first thing is to remove the screws where it is installed. Then, we disassemble it and put inside it, A SPRING and A PAIR OF BALLS which allow the speed change to be carried out.

And what are we going to do? We are going to clean the SPRING and also the PAIR OF BALLS of our SPEED SELECTOR. To do this, we are going to remove these elements from within the SPEED SELECTOR very carefully so that none of them are lost.
Then, we are going to LUBRICATE the elements of our SPEED SELECTOR with a thin film of lubricating oil, with the same LUBRICANT that we generally use to LUBRICATE the shaft of our fan. Then, we close it by placing the screws and placing it in place.
I suggest you ⚠️🔥❌DO NOT USE HIGHLY FLAMMABLE LUBRICANT such as the WD-40 brand since this could be dangerous with the sparking that is sometimes generated within the SPEED SELECTOR itself. Now that you know, HOW TO REPAIR FAN SPEED SELECTOR to enjoy your Fan for longer.

El lubricante que utilizo es más bien una combinación de Aceite Hidráulico del que generalmente utilizan los vehículos combinado o diluído con un poco de gasolina o keroseno y la idea es llevarlo a una viscosidad adecuada para el eje del ventilador así como para los bujes. A veces suelo agregar un poco de WD-40. Saludos Cordiales.

Por que mi ventilador vibra pero no gira... que podria ser???

Hola Jordan!!! Es posible que se haya perdido continuidad en la bobina del motor, es decir, en el estator. También la otra posibilidad es que uno de los bujes de la tapas que cierran el motor esté dañado o quizás los dos bujes, aunque siempre hay uno que hace más daño que el otro al eje del Motor. Ahora, te sugiero que, revisés la continuidad del embobinado. Desde el Capacitor de arranque podrías saber a lo inmediato, si el motor está bien o no. Sólo colocás tu multimetro en Ohmios en escala de 2k ó 2000. Colocás una punta en cada extremo del capacitor y debería darte como dato la resistencia general del motor. De no ser así, vas a tener que medir desde el mismo Capacitor, pero ubicando la punta del multímetro en el extremo en donde están la línea de energía NEUTRO y la línea de trabajo y la otra punta en cada una de las velocidades en el selector, Y así sabrás en dónde se ha perdido la continuidad. Espero te sirva esta sugerencia.
