a mulfunction hand riveter can be repair by inserting a engile oil in the jaws.
i really dont know how it work, but maybe it will clean all the dirt and worn out part of blind revet on the jaws.
i hope this secret will help.

Came here just after 5 hours of my work shift just to thank you man. This legit worked. But instead of oil i just sprayed wd-40 on it and it worked. It also helped reducing the strength of a grip, I could use it with my one hand haha. Thanks a lot, you were helpful A LOT

I can't believe it! it actually worked thanks so much I was just about to buy a new one but just a few drops of bike chain oil and the old one is as good as new, nothing more frustrating than when it won't grip the rivet.

mine had a different problem ,so i put a washer on the nozzle.Also most of the time these riveters get the holes stripped due force and poor quality of aluminum ,i fixed that by inserting a small ring made of 1mm sheet metal. The quality of those tools is shit 99% of time and Gesipa ones are 50-60€.I dont know how are they now but ones from 70's my grandpa brought from germany haven failed in 50 years !

Mate thank you so much! I had the exact same problem and I got so pissed I even started to hit my rivet gun on a concrete wall! I got a Stanley too but the heavier version and I'm like, how is this allowed to happen? So I found the receipt and was ready after the quarantine to go to the store which btw are bunch of idiots and shove it in their asses and request a new one! But with your help you saved me so much trouble and now it's working again as intended and I didn't had to punch the store keeper who sold it to me. Lol Thanks again and be safe! 👍

Ay lods pano pala maayos ung angle grinder pumutok kasi ung disc tapos ang hirap matangal hanggang sa nasira na ung lock tapos may nabasag na part banda sa lock ngayon d na matangal ung pumtok na disc mahigpet paren. ung grinder ko Mailtank sh-01 4 angle grinder isang taon naren sya sakin. na sandwiche ung broken disc sa mga nut sa may grinder sana makagwa ka ng video lods maraming salamat keepsafe always

Maraming ganyan ang issue sa mga angle grinder. Dapat kapag nag lalagay ng disc di naman kailangan sobrang higpit, kahit kamay lang pag higpit mo kasi kapag umikot yan kusa yang hihigpit at para kapag inaalis mo na siya madali nalang. Yung suggestion ko sa case mo alisin mo yung cover ng angle grinder mo then ipit mo sa gato yung gear nya para maalis mo yung balang natira

I did that and it worked, but now doesn;t cut rivet at the base. CUTS THem with a inch of stem still remaining. I did somethig wrong.

Ung akin sa akin ung tip ng rivet pin ang pinuputol hindi ung sa base kaya kailangan kong ipliers ung pin para maputol. Ano kaya problema ng rivet gun ko?

All I know Is all mechanical tools even as simple as pliers or scissors works well with just a FEW drops of lubricating oil ..I had a screaming electric belt sander once when you turn it on and 3 drops of oil on the roller bearings cured the problem....yes few drops it all it takes ....classic example is one you just shown...
