Hello! Super helpful video! One question what are you using to remove the frame? Is it just a hard plastic piece or a special tool of some sort? I tried with a credot card but the frame doesnt move at all.. 4:50

Also, what device did you use for testing the backlight? Can I use a multimeter' diode test function for that?

first of all you need to make sure that the problem is in the backlight and not in the LCD panel, the easiest way to find out is to open the back cover and start the TV, see if the backlight blinks for a moment or lights up constantly.

Thanks! We think it is the backlight, because the screen flashes once we switch the TV on before it goes black, and then we can see some of the visuals if we use a strong light from the front.

Its a plastic, quick tip, usually you can find plastic like this one from broken tv, is located between the sheet metal and power board.

When you tested the led strips, where did they get their power from? Did you plug the cable from the TV into the electricity?

Hello, i used tester for led lights , is used specifically for this, I can show you if you are interested. At some tvs like samsung you can detouch mainboard and plug into electricity and led strips will be run lights for test.

Probarly defect led diode , just 1 bad , break all .

Are philips generally the same? I just got a new 75 from philips and already the screen froze and wont load a screen its just grey screen. Even got the warranty and philips said they dont do work or replacements on tvs that large wtf
