You see I used the Henry "wet patch" roofing mastic so that means you can even use it in the rain. Put it on & make sure you put it on good then it should be fine even if it doesn't dry before the end of the day. You should be good to go...if you have any questions then read the back of the bucket or ask a sales person at the hardware store but I think you will be fine. See I used the webbing tape? I then put on one coat before the tape then one coat after, depending on how deep you need to put the patch material on. I also have some more of these videos on my channel where I continue to patch this roof. You can go to my main KZbin channel page then click on playlists then scroll down to roof or roofing & you will find them all there. Good luck with your roof patch!

If you get the black tar mastic on your hands then you can use WD40 to clean your hands off as well as whatever tools you use to put it on...

Hello, After applying Henry 209XR Wet Patch Sealant on the roof, Can we apply Henry 887 Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Roof Coating on it?

Not sure. Why not ask someone at your local hardware store wherever you thought you might purchase the additional material? I would think you could after the wet patch material skins up...? Let me know what you end up doing. Thanks for stopping by!

Does it work on shingles
@videojoeshows Жыл бұрын
This roof patch is really meant for flat roofs. If you are referring to asphalt shingles & if it's in an obscure area then I would say it could work for a season but the best thing to do would be to replace the leaking shingle area with same shingles...thanks for stopping by!

How’s it holding up 4 years later
@videojoeshows2 ай бұрын
Not sure since I have not been back but I would think it should still be holding up since I put the henry wet patch down first then the webbing tape then another layer of henry's. That stuff works great!

This stuff works pretty good especially when you use the webbing cloth as well like I show on the video. I have more of this video project if you want to see more. Just go to my main KZbin channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to roof repairs or something like that & have at it. Thanks for stopping by & good luck!

JOe.....please, does this stuff cures or hardens ?....how long it takes?....thanks.
@videojoeshows3 жыл бұрын
Not sure how long this roof patch takes to cure & harden. It's called Henry's wet patch for a reason though so you can patch a roof even in the rain so once you put the roof patch on it doesn't have to cure or harden before it starts working. Good luck!

Butter removes it fairly easily in case y’all ever get on you plus it’s less abrasive on your skin.

Good thought. I might have to try that next time...thanks!

Change your glove, even if it means every five minutes. Job comes first. Gloves are cheap!

I was patching this roof on the fly for a friend with no hardware store close by so I used the gloves she had as I was visiting from out of town.....
