I just got the 24-70 G2 for my EOS R6 and it has shown Err01 (first day). I also noticed that one time the aperture felt a bit sticky and the image was overexposed. Is that firmware related (not sure which one I have, need 2.0 for R6) or hardware related? Should I return it to the store? Mostly it works but since I got it yesterday and it has already shown these issues it makes you wonder

when Canon shows up error 01, then the lens needs to replace the flex cable and motor; if shows up error 99 it needs to replace the whole diaphragm unit. Correct?

Hi , depending the camera. Some of them shows up 99 other 01. In both cases there is a problem with diaphragm. If the motor of the diaphragm is defective will shows up error 99 or 01 . The same with broken flex .
