Thanks you guys!! I always do get scared when i can't hear the score being made. It makes me push down on the cutter a little harder, but I will stop doing that now. also, is it OK to use the turtle wax paste on stained glass?

A huge reason I was watching was to see steps between 6 & 7. But learned a lot. A stained glass in my brothers door is broken, and one cracked. I’m trying to learn how to DIY and excited to find this channel. If you’ve already covered the information somewhere else, could you please put the link(s) in the comments? Cool tool - I know now I HAVE to remove it from the frame … yes major newbie, but know enough to learn from those whom really know. The music was nice and upbeat, thankfully I could still hear almost everything said in the videos I watched. However, in t glass cutting scene, it would have been ideal to lower the sweeting (Industry term for music used for emotional cues).

Thank you so much for watching our video and for sending your feedback. It is an older video and since then we’ve learned a lot. We’ll be releasing a new video on Monday at 8pm Est immediately following the livestream. It’s an introduction to slag lamp and bent panel lamp repair. If that’s something you are interested in, we’ll see you there!

Great info. Great video. Would be helpful to not have constant music, especially when wanting us to listen... you really don't need the music as it is too distracting and loud..., and then to get rid of the text on middle of video when trying to show us something. Step 8 was covered by text in particular. If you could actually show us him soldering etc, would be great. Thanks.

I just broke my glass lamp while playing the song 'Persistent Vision' by the Dischord Records band, Rites Of Spring. My guitar headstock collided with the glass, shattering instantly.

Nice job describing the steps. If you're gonna go through the steps to cut then, why not show the process of actually cutting the contour of the piece you're replacing?

I watched you repairing the fruit stain glass pair. I never did stain glass I want to attempt this fix. Did you solder on top and the bottom when you were putting the pear in. You didn't really show that in the video. Thanks. I have 3 tiny pieces that broke when the lampshade fell.

Great question. It was tack-soldered in place first, then soldered on both sides.

Thank you for the tutorial. May I suggest showing closer images of repair and losing the music. Also the yellow text is too large and stays on the screen for too long. We can’t see anything.

Good question! 60/40 for copper foil and 50/50 for lead work. As far as a brand of solder we are currently using Amerway. It’s good.

Pretty well done video but you skip a lot of the technical processes, inside curves, grinding and fitting into the existing lead cavity. I guess you had a reason.
