I have a 2007 Town and Country. Just did the repair with my son. All worked extremely well. Instead of a flat-head, we pried up under the switches with a needle nose pliers under each side for even pressure. It took a good effort, but they popped off without busting. My deepest gratitude to you for posting this fix! Thank you!

One thing to remember is to be gentle with operating the switched once reattached to the console. If you press too hard when putting windows up and down you will break off the little tab on the front of the switch especially on the driver side window. Two things would then happen. First, the switch will stick again and second, you may not be able to one click the window down. You could fix this by using one of the other switches since they don't need that front tab, but they all have one.

Great video with the exception that you didn't mention that the little tab that broke off the Driver Side Window Control engages a tiny micro switch just under the tab. The other thing that I saw was the driver side control plastic finger piece that you need to remove to get the housing off has a little circular design on it. It is the only one of the four with this design molded into it. Also it is the only one of the four finger pieces that has the little rectangular tab on the edge of it as well. What orientation does that little tab need to be in so it fits correctly.? The contacts are very similar to the thumb switches on my J Deere snow blower and I have had to clean them up more times than I care to think about. It is a great video as I would never have guessed how to pull this switch out without seeing it. Thanks for sharing.

mhampton awesome buddy! I'm glad it helped someone! Your welcome. Note: if you switch feels fine but isn't working, it's usually just dirty contacts.

Does this fix a window switch that won't roll the window up or down?
@GRACEORT Жыл бұрын
My rear quarter window opened and now it won’t shut, the switch clicks when flicked to the open position but is silent when flicked to the close position and the window doesn’t close. Do you think the problem could be a broken internal part like in this video?
@MileHighDreamz Жыл бұрын
If the other window switches make the click sound on the way up then yes, I would say it's definitely worth a shot. Either way you will have to remove the panel to diagnose/repair/ or manually roll up the window until you get it fixed.

@@MileHighDreamz thanks for replying. I’m going to attempt the repair tonight. Unfortunately I can’t manually wind the window up as it’s the rear quarter glass that swings out on its motor arm. Having watched your video I’m hoping I can swop a switch over to get it closed
@MileHighDreamz Жыл бұрын
@@GRACEORT Best of luck. I do not know how the rear window regulator looks off the top of my head, but I normally unscrew the one or two bolts holding the window to the regulator so I can slide the window up by hand then tape it to the door frame to stay up. Better, warmer, and more quiet than a bag.

Why dont any of these videos tell us the size of the screws u take off to remove the switch from the switch panel once out of the door. Are they 1/4 inch???
@MileHighDreamz4 жыл бұрын
I'm commenting on an older video, but if it recall, I used a regular Philips Head screw driver to remove it. I am unsure of the diameter or length of the screw threads, if that is what you are asking. If you lost your screws, then take the pieces to Home Depot and use their Thread Sizing board to figure it out. Good luck.

I did everything in the video, and the same plastic piece was broken on drivers side window switch. cleaned up the contacts as well. Still doesn't open or shut. I see a glowing green light underneath the switch. and a few light contact sparks coming off the contacts. Before totally malfunctioning, it wouldn't go up in one shot. I would have to click the switch a dozen times inching the way up. Any ideas?
@MileHighDreamz6 жыл бұрын
Test the regulator/motor assembly. Get to where you can unplug the window motor. Then take some wires running off your car battery and hook it directly to the motor and see if it works. Shouldnt matter which wire you connect to which. When you flip red/black positive/negative it should just change the direction of the window. If that works then id say try the new switch. Double check your connections are good too.
