Oh my gosh, watched this video, and a couple others for comparison, and believe me...DO IT YOURSELF!!! Had to get it done today as this weekend in Denver doesn't get above 5degrees. It is SO easy. I decided to time it. 14 minutes from the time I stepped in the garage, got my 10mm socket wrench, moved our stuff and everything to get to the battery, switched it out and put everything back in it's place. I removed/replaced in this order, when I got to the battery. Removed hold-down strap, Neg cable, Pos cable, Vent tube, battery. Replaced battery, vent tube, Pos, Neg, Hold-down strap. EVERYthing completed in 14 minutes! Thanks 2CarPros!!!!

I went to Costco as Interstate batteries are on sale and they said that they don't make one for the Prius. Why would they say that?

Very informatiove and easy explanation. Thanks! Few questiosn though. Will the new battery have enough charge to start car after replacement? Or does the new battery needs pre-charging before replacement? After replacing the battery does the car needs a long drive to fully charge the new battery?

My Toyota Precis 2017 manual says " When the 12 volt battery is removed, the information store in the ECU is cleared " what is the implication ? The manual recomand a Dealer inspection before removal of terminal Why ?

How can you tell if this is the battery that needs replacing and that it's not the big battery?

You can take it to an auto parts store and test the voltage for free

same, i just replaced mine. cheapest one in my area was an oem truestart battery from the dealership for $170

Very few Costcos actually have them. Very very few. My local Costco said they never heard of it.

It more like $260 instead.... this is not a regular lead-acid battery...
