HOW TO REPLACE 2012-up CHEVROLET SONIC OIL COOLER| No more oil leaks and oilcaked Engine block!

Finally got that pesky leaking Oil cooler replaced. This is a common leak location for 1.4L Chevy Sonics, so you'll probably have to do this one day if you don't like the engine covered in oily dirt. Its a fairly involved process so I made this video hopefully to assist you along the way.

Any idea how or what the plastic plunger is inside the housing where the oil feed to turbo goes in? I have two of these and theyre both just loose with an oring. I have no idea what their inteded purpose is either...

Will replacing this help with that orange slush build up in the reservoir and radiator?

If you're getting milky oil into your coolant reservoir, this is the problem, unless you have a blown head gasket, or bad timing cover seal. These are prone to fail, failed on both my vehicles.

It cools the engine oil.
