Nice job man! I was worried about doing the rear plugs but after watching you do it -- it really wasn't that hard. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

thank you for the video... don't listen to the armchair haters... i appreciate the time you spent to produce this and advice and proof you don't need to remove the manifold or pay the dealer 2.4hr labor for a simple DIY automotive job. Thanks again!

Just changed all the plugs in a 2015 acadia using this method. Saved me a lot of time and money. If you're going to try this I recommend a good long sleeve shirt and work gloves when working on the plugs hidden towards the rear

Worked perfect on my 2014 Acadia. Only problem I ran into was I had to remove my vapor canister purge valve for one of the front plugs. Everything else was smooth sailing. Took me about 30-45 min total. Also, I used NGK plugs which also specify not to use anti-seize.

Where you live? a mechanic charged me $ 922 to tune up and replace a gas sensor in my car. Acadia 2011 SLE

gas sensor can be anything, EVAP system sensors or tank pressure sensor or fuel pressure rail sensor. Sounds a bit expensive. I charged $160 for a 2014 Dodge Caravan with spark plugs included.

too much work, I tried it that way on my 2012 traverse, I wasted about an hour. It only takes 20 minutes to remove the upper intake and then you have all the room you need and can see what you're doing. Why did you not use ac delco plugs? Autolites are garbage and miss fires waiting to happen also no antisieze or dialectric grease on the coil boots?

I said the same about anti seize and do electric grease. Will make the future job a lot easier

Yea he should have used a bit if anti seize and electric grease, but I just changed all the plugs in a 2015 acadia using this method. Wasn't too much trouble and it saved me the hassle of taking off the air intake

Super old comment, but just now watching the video. I agree, I think you can really tell who's a "GM guy" and who's just a guy with a GM vehicle when they don't use Delco parts.

HE INDICATED THAT CUSTOMER BOUGHT THOSE SPARK PLUGS. I GUESS CUSTOMER IS CHEAP OR DAN JUST DID NOT ADVISE HIM TO PURCHASE PROPER ONES. HE SAID IT WAS 2015 AND VIDEO INDICATES THAT IT IS 2016 BUT THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL. AGREED ON PROPER GREASE AND PROPER PLUGS TO BE USED. HE WAS PROBABLY AVOIDING REPLACING MANIFOLD GASKETS AS I USUALLY DO WHEN I REMOVE THE MANIFOLD. AGAIN SOMETIMES CUSTOMERS DON'T WANT TO SPEND MORE MONEY AND WE HAVE TO PRESERVE PARTS WE REMOVE. AT THIS POINT WE DO NOT KNOW THE CONVERSATION AND AGREEMENT BETWEEN CUSTOMER AND DAN. MANY CUSTOMERS WHO CHEAP OUT ON PARTS AND LABOR GO TO GUYS LIKE DAN (BACKYARD MECHANIC)

So description says 2016 but you say 2015, you're using Autolite (Ford) XP5263 plugs gapped at .042" instead of AC Delco (GM) 41-109 plugs gapped at .043" and never used anit-seize . There's so many things wrong with this video that it's ridiculous. Good attempt at instructional video but next one you make, you should make sure you use the right parts with the vehicle and ensure the customer is informed. And I agree with Carlos, autolights are very well known for being junk. Even most ford owners who care about their vehicles don't use them.

Kyle Estrada yeah and he says it’s a 20 min job yet took him like 10 min just to take one out and replace it.

I got Bosch spark plugs for my 2011 Acadia and on the box it says “do not use anti-seize” . I guess Bosch figured a way to make it ani-seize is not needed. Now what I would like to know is how did this guy get the front plugs out. Because with mine, I absolutely remove the intake because of the front three was impossible to remove due to the intake was in the way!
@savageSSG13203 жыл бұрын
@@efrenmendoza2338 yeah it's not a 10 minute job. I can flag hours fast and this job is every bit of 20-30 minutes if you know what your doing and you do it right.
@savageSSG13203 жыл бұрын
@@Lil_D69 the 2011 engine is a bit harder because that engine is different in that it uses a MPFI system. The 2013+ use DI system so there's a little bit more wiggle room. I never use Bosch. I always use AC Delco or NGK. GMs love both.

Must be different from my 2016 acadia. Bc I just tried that and you can't get the front ones out. No way. The back isn't the issue. I wish you'd shown how you got the front. Lol
