Didnt have the tools to do it so I pushed down on the shoes with the springs in and pushed the end of the spring in place at the same time a pushing down and did all three with in about 30 seconds once I understood how they all went together from your video lol 😂😂

alishanmao Really appreciate this video. Looks like I mounted the clutch shoes wrongly based on your video! Also, I didn`t have any "mount-shoe" tool, so a regular flathead screw driver worked ok, did not damage the shoes. Will have a look when I get off work to see what`s up with my engine (have the same engine that you did the turorial on ) :)

Alishanmao thanks for the great vids. Wanted to know if i should just purchase the DuraTrax Clutch Shoe Tool or the HPI clutch tool. Im also going to install the aluminum clutch shoes on my savage x. Its the 1st savage x HPI came out with years ago. I wanted to upgrade the clutch bell to the hardened steel and Spur gear to metal also. Please give me your thoughts Thanks!

For clarification...this clutch tool is not a must-have (on any clutch setup). There are various styles of 'clutch shoe tools'. Also, clutch styles are different, so different tools are needed. For example this tool in the video does you nothing for TLR, or Buku clutches Tools like this definitely make life much easier, but it can be done with a good ol' fashioned flat-head screw driver if needed. ;-)

it is good to have one..i already wasted buying parts and ended up useless ..so why should i struggle with a flathead screw driver if i can use this for 5 bucks is worth it ,I saw one for TLR it looks the exactly like this one. made by integy for TLR.

Needed no but it definitely makes life easier, If you work on cars a lot theres no reason not to get the tool. The duratrax tool is like 8 bucks!

okay, what if the first bolt doesn't want to come out. i cant get the flywheel to lock. the screw just wants to keep spinning no matter what i try

hi, i know this is a realllllyyyy newbie question, but i just replaced a clutch set from my old nitro engine onto a newer one (using the same clutch and flywheel set), is it supposed to spin freely on both sides? spin freely if i turn it clockwise and anti clockwise? please reply asap, as i won't install the engine until i'm reassured

Those are not one way bearings. Those are regular ball bearing

i thought its easy to use this tool...i prefer using just a small flat driver..much easier..this tool is waste of money. don't get me wrong ...i learned a lot from alishanmao..other nitro related stuff..not this one..
