Hey thank you so much. I have a disabled husband who is no longer able to do things like this. You and the other video helped me a lot. It was the relay after all. 2012 Maxima S.

Gotta say this was THEE most helpful video I’ve seen for tearin out the ac clutch... I’ve been flipping out for about a week trying to figure out how to swap that (I didn’t wanna blow the cash on the whole compressor, REALLY didn’t wanna have to buy it after I ordered the clutch) thanks guys you saved my @ss

Great video. I had to go back and re-do the air-gap in between the clutch plates. About 0.02" worked great.

I remember when GM could afford little things like snap rings to hold a clutch coil in place.

Had my fingers crossed for you. Those 1995 to 2002 GM Sanden made A/C Compressors are the worst there is. If you can find your friend a Denso compressor it is a 1,000 times better. I used to fill a 55-gallon drum up with those old Sanden compressors after the rebuilder stopped taking them, then sold them for scrap. To me that says a lot when a rebuilder refuses to pick them up anymore.

Nice work fellas. Is it still in service? The only ones I've encountered on GM trucks and suvs are Delphi Harrison. This one looks to be a four seasons reman unit. I've had one on my '97 K1500 for almost eight years and is still blowing 40 degree air out the vents and it has sounded just like this one since the day I put it on!

Good job, very useful explanation, use of regular tools, explanation of pitfalls. I do appreciate the hairy arms (as are mine), the colorful language (as I may use), and all the rest excluding the occasional marauding cat :-) . Also good use of gauges and explanation of high side vs low side pressures. The snowflakes who are offended by any of this video probably need to stay in front of a keyboard and out of the garage.

I replaced all new parts inside my AC, and now having trouble wiring it back up. Old clutch had only two wires. A black and a white wire. New one has two black wires and one Red wire. Do all the Black wires go together, and the Red wire does it go to the white wire? Thanks for any help.

Bro. Your arms may be hairy but at least you don't have a year round fur coat like I do... I'm like a teen wolf if i let my neckbeard and everything grow out. lol... Hairline grows into my back hair, chest hair, and shoulder hair. You have it easy.

If that's a picture of you and that little inset brother you've got a pretty impressive man mane! At least yours is still dark unfortunately I am now a silverback and a silver front silver sides pretty much sucks I used to have a beautiful flowing red beard but four kids and being married to the same woman more than well what do you like this the cowboys were a conquering football team about the time I got married and we all know that was a hell of a long time ago.

Great video! Quick question, do you need that nut at 14:32? My old clutch did not come with one. I’ve installed a new clutch and everything seems pretty solid so far
@m0bilemechanix3 жыл бұрын
If you have threads for one and it looks like there should be one I would try to find one from a hardware store or something.

What is the black vertical box behind the compressor on the passenger side of the engine?
@GrandPrix46 Жыл бұрын
The evaporator, the receiver drier connects right to it at the top, on the bottom line is where the orifice tube is.

You could give information on that OEM clutch remover kit you're using.

I don't remember any part numbers but just tell the auto parts store you need an ac clutch kit and they will rent one to you or you can keep it.
