Best video yet of how the cables are attached. Every one else does it so quick you can not see the configuration.

I'm glad to hear this video helped out!

Thanks. Have used this three times in past month to update the batteries after a move. Each time I "knew" the connections - but seeing you do it to confirm made me a lot more comfortable.

I appreciate this video - my CyberPower 1350 AVR screen is doing the exact same thing, and it won’t power my PC. I’m wondering if this procedure is the same for the AVR, since you said yours is the “VA”?
@BIsForBudget Жыл бұрын
Hi EnochLight. The 1350 AVR does look very similar to the VA.. That said, I'm a bit reluctant to say for sure, since I haven't personally tried it.

@@BIsForBudget - thanks! Decided to brave it and take it apart anyway. Exact same procedure as yours evidently, and the batteries are the exact same. Just ordered a set from that link you posted. Cheers!

What is the correct way to dispose of the old batteries?

Hi Jonathan, I used this site to find a local recycling site: www.call2recycle.org/locator/. Thanks!

How much amperage are the batteries you used?
@BIsForBudget Жыл бұрын
The battery specs state 8AH. So, 8A @ 1Hour. Hope this helps. 👍

The unit I had from Costco comes apart different. Front panel does not come off. Remove 2 screws on the bottom. Lower left side panel can be removed. rotate batteries out. Batteries are end to end and not taped. Disconnect and reconnect new. Put side panel back on. Mine failed from a power surge Otherwise good video, thank you

Thank you for sharing your experience with a different variation of the UPS.

Exactly the same thing as me! I replaced batteries on on many of these units over the years and it was always so much simpler than I was finding the instructions here. That's what happens when they change a model, but keep the model number. 🤪

Thanks for the video. This helped a lot. How's the battery holding up? I haven't used the Mightymax brand before.

I'm happy to help. The first set has been going strong for nearly 2 years. The latest one has been running without issue for roughly 3/4 months. I haven't had any issues so far (knock on wood).

My two batteries had the battery name stickers on opposite sides of the battery, relative to the terminals. Moral: IGNORE which side the MIGHTY MAX labels are on and just focus on the orientation of the terminals on each battery.

ROFL I was about to take a sledgehammer to it until I realized that my particular model, which is exactly the same as yours, had a faceplate that had to be pushed *UP*, not down.
@BIsForBudget6 ай бұрын
That is odd. That's a pretty big design change for the same model number. Thanks for sharing!
