THANK YOU! Worked fine for me. You may want to add when removing the front cover you MUST slide it DOWN about an inch. There are 4 pins inside holding it in place. I broke 2 DUHHH, so had to secure the front using gorilla tape on 1 side. Unit working GREAT again.

Are those batteries supposed to be wired in *Series?* Wiring them where you take the red from one to the black of the other batter like that will wire them in series. When batteries are wired in series the voltage adds together. For example if you wire two 12v batteries in series, they become 24 volts. When you wire them in *Parallel,* the voltage remains the same and the amperage adds up. So if the batteries are 12v with 7ah, when wired in parallel, they become 12v 14ah. It's important to note that, because if the step up transformer in the unit is rated to take 12v and step it up 10X to 120v and you wire it in series, you're going to fry the unit because the 24 volts will get stepped up to 240v

Keep in mind that these batteries can sometimes swell over time. So just remove the batteries if your not going to use the UPS for a long time interval. Also, you might want to take a look at the internal main board and inspect the capacitors visually for telltale signs of failure if the UPS has been out of use for a while.

I have learnt that u should not stack leadacid upside down. Idk if cyber power was using some special battery but even sealed lead acid ones recommend to be in any orientation other than upside down. My apc has them vertically.

BEWARE, i bought 2 brands of 9AH-12volt batteries. Neither of them test at 9aH, more like 7aH despite being labelled 9aH. So I suspect all these batteries are 7aH, and they just mark some as 9aH. PS-how the batteries holding up ? Thanks for the video !

I wouldn't. These are AGM batteries and Lithium batteries would have slightly different charge requirements.

Question: Isn't the device self chraper then buying 2 batteries? I bought the 700watt Cyberpower for 100 euro, if I ever change 2 batteries in the future hoe much will they cost? Also buying a new device has new warranty and your insurance is also happy with that

Maybe cheaper to buy the unit in europe. In the states the batteries are dirt cheap.
