Roger thank you so so much. I did my install today just fine but did not have an existing disposal. This novice diy'er has no plumbing experience and I hit a wall trying to get the tee to connect to the p trap. The o-ring explanation solved my problem in 10 seconds. You just saved me $200.

The only thing I have to say as a plumber of 2 years. The under sink is never THAT clear 😂. I’m also learning soldering copper joints and what not. Non of that press pipe shit where the fittings cost 3-5 times more 🤣. Yeah silverside might be alittle expensive BUT it holds. There’s a different charge policy if I have to go under the sink since I’m the smallest one, meaning literally no me else could fit. I’m bot that skinny but I can fit in most under sinks.

Speaking about garbage disposals, mine broke just today. I was having some free time on my computer, bein' bout to play watch my podcasts, and all of a sudden my parents called me to the kitchen, and the sink was full of water, and that's when they mentioned the garbage disposal wasn't spinning.

Do you need a plumber or an electrician or handy man ? some say electrician in other videos . For those of us who are not doing it ourselves and hiring. How long does it take and and cost to hire average to do this? also I have a hard wire seems, so when i order the disposal do I need to order anything else? looks like some come with a power chord in the box

I removed the garbage disposer from my kitchen sink and replaced it with straight piping (regular drain). I'm not a big fan of disposers because they break a lot and they are totally expensive to maintain!!!
