Thank you, I have to change the radiator on my VE 6.0, and couldn’t find a video on how to do it.

You installed the new radiator without first transferring to it (from the old one) the rubber two rubber mounts which prevent the radiator resting on the chassis.

I take that intake on and off in… 15seconds now lol it’s super easy. Also.. you don’t need the heater on since there isn’t a valve according to the service manual lol I still do it, with fan off, because Holden gold tech told me to 😅 I just dunno if it’s a waste.

Perfect video! My American Holden (Pontiac G8) recently broke the radiator. Looks like it will be a simple swap :) _FMG_

Sorry mate but the overflow line was the breather line back to the top of the engine, cheers :) Plus no mention of complete coolant flush before putting the new coolant in and also noticed that the prewrite coolant was concentrated, but i am sure it was full of 50/50 pre mix of penrite OEM coolant, cheers :)

Hey champ, quick Question if its a auto, do you fill the inner trans cooler fins with synthetic trans fluid before putting the radiator back in or do it after you put the new radiator in, also can you replace the bottom radiator gasket on the radiator or your better off replacing the radiator, also can you please let me know the best radiator to use and where to buy 1, in melbourne or western victoria region if you can? Also really great upload mate. :)

Mate why you did not use a engine coolant flush before replacing the radiator & putting the new coolant in?
@salesifehoko57033 жыл бұрын
Hey man, how much do you charge for this to be done, taking my vf in tomorrow and the mechanic has quoted me bout $900 for a radiator replacement. Apparently he's ordered a brand new one from Holden?? Reasonable price??

Can you do a video on where to find the windscreen wiper water hoses and reservoir for the VF commodore? I have a leak and it could be the hose is loose or a broken reservoir.

Hey. I just had my hoses and radiator replaced by my mechanic. Blew the top hose, nipped down to Supercheap for more coolant first thing in the morning, and in my barely awake state I just filled up the overflow bottle, it all just ran straight out. Didn't realise I wasn't putting it in the actual engine. Not wanting to drive anywhere without coolant, I got it towed to my mechanic who apparently had the radiator replaced and charged me $550. Is there a good indicator that he's actually done it? In hindsight I probably didn't need it and feel like he may have just topped it off and taken my money. What do I do?
