How to replace a leaky door seal on a Bosch washing machine

Owen, you're a king! This video just gave me the confidence to disassemble my identical washing machine. Now, I just need to order a new rubber seal and hopefully the leak will be fixed 💪

@@bootsowen I did it! Reassembling the circular springs is not the easiest, but using the bicycle tire method, it went into place. No more leak.

Shock absorbers is a big job haft to split the tub mine r completely gone on my machine when the machine finally conks out our replace it but it’s not really worth doing unless u get cheap parts and know what your doing thanks for the tutorial 👌

Instead of splitting the tub, you can either drill the old absorbers out and mount the new ones with screws the manufacturer supplies the replacement kit, or you can pull the shock absorbers apart, leave the "legs" mounted to the tub, clean them and only replace the oil-soaked sponges that basically are the absorbers.

Manufactured in November 2005, so the old seal lasted 14 3/4 years if it's the original one

Mine was manufactured in 2006, so if it's original, lasted 18 years. Good job Bosch 👍

Can't see how to remove spring wire becayse your camera is too low!

Jam a screwdriver in and hook it out at the spring. I show it in other vids. Search bootsowen door seal. Thanks
