Thanks! Helped me understand. I recently figured out the one on my wall is missing a part, so I got a new mouthpiece and reed and can make sounds, but figured the thumb fest is missing so I need to craft something to go into the hole, I never thought I could replace the whole deal. Nice. Thanks.

Hi, I also want to buy myself, please tell me which one is more convenient and good among these models? Are these accessories worth so much money? Thanks

What would you recommend for using soft pliers on a clarinet for flexing or regulation? Currently I am using teflon tape on the teeth of a pair of pliers but it doesn't work as well as I would hope.

What works best is a pliers with smooth jaws. You can get them from Allied or Ferree's. I do not have the catalogs with me right now, but I will try to get the names and part numbers for you soon.

hey, you mentioned in an earlier video that while in school you bought and sold instruments. I was wondering if you could tell me about how that worked and about how fixing them up came into it. thanks

I always looked in the newspaper, stopped by music stores, and let people know I was looking for instruments. When ever I found an instrument for a good price, I bought it and then re-sold it. I lost a few dollars sometimes, but I learned as I went along. After a while, I learned that I could make more money if I knew how to repair them. That is when I decided to go to college to learn how to fix them.

@@TheBrassandWoodwindShop Awesome, thanks for the reply. Where did you sell them?
@TheBrassandWoodwindShop6 жыл бұрын
I sold them mostly with adds in the newspaper. I also sold a lot of instruments to people who knew me. I had a lot of musician friends and many people knew me as the guy who had a lot of instruments.

They are from Allied Supply and Ferree's Tools. Here is a link to one of my videos. It has more about the catalogues and the suppliers that they came from. "How Do I Find Band Instrument Repair Tools and Supplies?" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKjUdJmYjZmJhLs
