Hello do you think that TV 42lm615s need's to led replace to ? Symptoms that rapid turn off (10-20 seconds) when try to go to menu or not, lighting was set to 50% but from time to time rapid brighter blink led was observed. Caps seems to look Ok.

Question . My edge light led melted a little bit of the thick diffuser panel which sits close to them. After replacing the strips I noticed a bit of light scatter around the bottom edge. I think it's because the led had made a little melt mark on the edge of the panel. Would it be OK to sand that edge with a fine sandpaper to bring a smooth finish back again? The panel is not the easiest thing to find anywhere used online. Any advice welcomed. 👍

My edge backlight flashed twice and then black. I have checked each of the LEDs, they all flash twice with an interval of 5 seconds. It seems the LEDs are OK, but why they only flash and dark again? Could you help?

@@tevzTVTevatronics thank you for answering, to write a bit more how I tested the LEDs: I used black tape to cover 55 LEDs, just left one out. So I switched on the TV by using the remote controller. Each LED flashed twice. but where is the inverter? BTW, when the LEDs flash, the voltage is about 80 volts, then it decreases to about 20 volts .

What can cause Led backlights to turn off automatically after 20-30 minutes. Sound works fine & I can see the menu when I shine a flashlight on the screen. It's an edge lit LG 55LM5800 TV

@@tevzTVTevatronics So if some of the LEDS are getting weak or dim or failing that can make the TV turn off all the backlights after a short period of time like 20 or 30 minutes? Maybe because they are more likely to fail after they heat up or something? NOTE: I already replaced the power supply board but it didnt fix it, its doing the same thing as before. It works fine for awhile and then the backlight turns off.

Same problem mine is onida 39 Inch sometimes it was working good for 5,6 hours sometimes after 10 mins no picture only sound all voltages ok even panel voltages ok give me advice sir.

@@kalaelectronics1710 My LG was a pita to fix, I replaced the leds & then all boards including Tcon board. I got it working but now I have a strange issue where the screen dims slightly every 4 seconds. bright, dim bright , dim etc. Its annoying as hell, never did find a solution but was probably sold a faulty board or something & I prolly could have bought a new tv for the money I spent on parts.
