FYI, it took me and my son in law 2 hours to remove the factory gasket. Prior to removal of the spider gasket, I had a daily leak of two inches of water every day and was told not to worry it's evapiration. Wrong! On further inspection after replacing only the top round gasket (prior to knowing what a spider gasket was) the the small round clear site guage was not full as it should be which is an indication I was losing water. The spider gasket was the culprit all along. Warning, after you purchase the new gasket make sure the new gasket is the right size by laying it over the old gasket. Twice I was given a gasket that was about a guarter inch two small. Since my handle is hard to move, i discovered through pool videos that my handle gaskets need to be replaced. I will when they come in stock.

Shouldn’t you lubricant the gasket after you glue it in?

No need for that. The gasket is soft and ready to do its job out of the packaging. In fact, most ptfe lubricants will speed up the break down of the rubber, causing the gasket to need replacement sooner.

It’ll be a different for each filter model by each manufacturer. Find your filter model number and you should be able to find a parts diagram online. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the very informative video. One criticism - there are lots of audio compression artifacts making it a little difficult to understand. You sound like you are underwater while speaking.

Thanks for the feedback! We are still a new channel, in fact this was the first video we published. But we are working to level up our gear and filming ability.
