how to replace a thermostat on a 06 dodge grand caravan 3.8L easy step by step

A Thermostat usually goes bad after an engine over heats. We cant tell a bad one by looking at it. Most common mastake on a R&R is forgetting to look which way it was sitting when we took it off. and putting it in upside down. There used to be and arrow pointing which way the fluid flows. Our truck takes forever for the heater to heat up. I think thats the themostat not working . Thanks for the post.👍👏

I think he put this one in backwards lol! And the gasket maker , instead of the proper gasket? Does that work? I'm gonna have to watch a few more videos, before I swap mine out in a little bit.

Yep do your own research. Sometimes we need to improvise. Making our own gasket is not a big deal. A sheet of cork and a tube of Permatex gasket sealer. You are there.

Man I worked on many of these and the last one was a water pump replacement . The van had almost a half a million miles and the propeller in water pump made a hole in the block around the surface area ☠️☠️

Nothing personal bro,but you didnt show the thermostat when you removed it(which indicates the proper direction).Then you blatantly told everyone watching to put the thermostat in the wrong way, because of the manufacturer 's logo on the part? You didn't say to put it with the pin hole at the top,as needed.And finally,you scrapped off the gasket,and instead of replacing it,you made one out of gasket maker? Did that even work? How did all of this tirn out? Im very curious.
