I’m having the same issue on my ‘14 I’m going to try the gear first. I hope that solves the problem if not I’m going to have to do all of this 😢

Bro what is that tube on the left side of the condenser mine has oil in that tube with no cover on it is it a leak or i just got the condesner replaced
@LJsGarageАй бұрын
Are you referring to the radiator fill tube? It should have a cap on it.
@ashleynadler7916Ай бұрын
i am having r-134a also on top of the tube on the passenger side. Do you get a answear of why?
@marioortega6419Ай бұрын
Yes change radiator after changing the a.c condenser it still could be leaking after ..plus my car is still leaking oil and mechanic said its the transmission oil or tube but they will fix it at no extra charge because they worked on it last i reccomend going to a mechanic that is reliable if u cant do it your self .. its safe to drive still but should be fixed soon

Can this small leak really cause the whole ac system not to work? I’m having the same issue and my condenser looks the exact same way in that corner
@LJsGarage2 ай бұрын
Yeah sadly it's letting in moisture and throwing off pressures

Question. Does a bad condenser show symptoms on both driver and passenger side AC? My driver side is cold but passenger side does not get as cold and there is hissing coming out of from behind the vents. I’ve already replaced the blend door actuator and it didn’t solve the issue.
@LJsGarage3 ай бұрын
It can because essentially there isnt enough cooling happening for both sides. You can verify the charge though with a gauge pretty easily to rule that out though.

You probably have two issues. 1: The hissing is low level of Freon maybe a leak on the lower front drivers side of the condenser. Grab a UV light and examine your system while in the dark. Could be you need some dye in the system to find the leak. 2: Maybe you will also need to reboot the climate control system. With ignition on press and hold Volume and Browse/Enter buttons until Uconnect screen turns black. Screen will turn on after reboot. Check your air blend again. Rebooting the climate control resets the blend door actuators. BTW was your actuator gear stripped and could you move the blend door freely with your and while the actuator is removed?

I think you supposed to dis contaminating the lines from the all system and the ac compressor before connecting it to the new ac condenser, let me know how your system works now ,I need advice I’m changing the kit for my jeep patriot i have to change the condenser together with the radiator so I was planing to disconnect the old system and connect the new condenser and new radiator but I don’t know how to clean full ac system or radiator system any advise could help thanks for your video
@LJsGarage21 күн бұрын
You are correct if there was a burnout with the compressor but since there wasn't and just moisture in the system you just need to vacuum. It's been a year and great so far!

excellent video. Thanks. I hope i can get mine done under warranty. Dealers don't like to call you back when you're close to your EOW coverage. Weird.

Yeah they play games for sure with that. Good luck !

Do i need to remove the radiator in order to change the condenser?
@LJsGarage9 ай бұрын
No you can do them independently

@@LJsGarage thanks, I eventually found it. What brand condesnor did you purchase? Just purchased one on rockauto tyc brand, hopefully no leaks. Btw this is being done on a 2012 jgc 181k miles.

Fixing to do this now. Question. Was it visually leaking on the bottom engine shroud directly below where the condencer is?
@LJsGarage4 ай бұрын
Honestly It was such a a small leak it took about two years to be a real problem and I couldnt find it until I checked all the common leak spots I found on a forum. Nothing veasily visible

@@LJsGaragethanks boss for the reply. I'm punting for tomorrow. Will have an extra set of hands. Good thing is I'm familiar with this vehicle, did the oil cooler not to long ago. Also I hate engineers. Had to replace a headlight also not to long ago so the bumper removal is 10 minutes. Mine is definitely leaking right under where this is. I'm hoping its not one of the hoses, or connections at this point. It was a slow leak, then 2 days ago it said "Nahh. I'm good. I quit."

Nice walkthrough man. Are you able to replace the condensor and not have the AC recharged? I heard you say something about a small amount leaking but the audio sounds far. Also how much tranny fluid did it leak out please respond. Thanks in advance!
@LJsGarage9 ай бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately you'd still need it recharged which you can rent everything to do. If you simply add refrigerant back it will have moisture in the system and run inefficiently. I lost about an ounce or two not much at all.

LJ can you please tell me where the pressure transducer is? I have the same car and my ac clutch keeps going on and off. I believe I need to replace the transducer
@LJsGarage5 ай бұрын
I believe it's on the front right side by the condenser but not 100% id trace the AC lines till you find the connector but if I recall there is a connector there.

@LJsGarage recharge my ac twice already after two days the hissing noise come back and the cold air goes away? Do u think I have a leaked in the condenser or the compressor?
