Hey man just wanna shout out my HUGE thanks for your video. My gfs 2014 jeep GC was leaking coolant and after replacing the thermostat and upper hose I finally saw the leak in the radiator. Same exact spot as yours. Ended up tackling the water pump while I had it all removed but I had your video up following step by step and it was a godsend. You have another very grateful viewer! Was my first time doing this and you made it easy. Cheers!

Hello LJ, my name is MICHELE and my daughter has a 2017 jeep grand Cherokee and we have had a P0305 error code for nine months now I have spent over $6700 trying to get this fixed. Yes, the labor cost more than what the mechanics are doing and the mechanics are fixing everything except what needs to be fixed. I am sure there is a leak somewhere because there was no coolant in the car after the car came back from the dealership. I have gotten all spark plugs changed, coils, batteries, starter and gasket. One Mechanic says there’s no rips and tears anywhere. Another one said he went back in and changed cylinder five and check the fuel injector.. He said he does not see a leak. Firestone charge me $130 saying that they Were receiving codes for spark plugs, two and four and that the spark plugs were not all the way down in the Holes So as a courtesy, they tightened up 24 and six but because it would take more work to get to 13 and five to check I would have to pay an additional fee for that And the gasket. The check engine light is inevitable. I do not want this vehicle to stall or blow up with My Daughter in it. She is a soldier and dhe’s just trying to get from point A to point B throughout her day. Do you have any recommendations? Firestone is saying they know for sure that it is the spark plugs and the gasket And that I should not flush her pink coolant out until I get all the spark plugs and gasket looked at. In the meantime, that will be an additional $378 (spark plug 1, 3, 5) plus $91 for the gasket. Why am I paying for items that I previously paid someone for? No one has looked at my radiator gasket pan to see if there is a leak there. We just don’t know what to do because this mechanics game is very costly and no one is honest. How can you go in for a service and come out in the light is still on and then they want you to continue to pay them while they continue to look for the problem that they should know because I know I’m not the first person into the shop with this issue. Sorry for the extra I don’t care that my number is on here. Can you call me at 779-8044976 and educate me , or can somebody post some suggestions?

I replaced my radiator a 1 1/2 yrs ago now on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6l V6. I avoided taking the bumper off which saves some time for sure. I watched a couple of videos which showed how to without removing it. It is quite the job for one person. One step frustrated me putting the radiator back in its place. It all hinged on the angle that I had it to snap back into place. After almost an hour frustrated, I put it on a slight angle and it snapped back into place. Not for the novice DIYer
@LJsGarage10 ай бұрын
No doubt it's a tough job. I think the 30 min to take off the bumper made this easier for me personally but I can see if it's someones first time removing it that adds another 1.5hrs like you said!
@chrised11154 ай бұрын
Removing the bumper is the easiest part of the job. I rather spend 10 minutes taking it off then spend a half hour fighting around it. To each their own I guess.

Hi, i have a question, can i also swap out the condenser while at it, other videos show you have to pull bumper off ( wrote this as you were saying don't need to remove) but i don't want to do that,i have a bull bar and its also got headlight washers as well as being a diesel, its too much work having to remove all the front part, so i'm hoping i can change the condenser out after the radiator.. sorry if that made no sense. Nice vid thanks

@miamidolfan1910 ай бұрын
That's about right. I did the radiator fairly easily, would have been about 5-6 hours but I did the water pump too which took another few hours, hell just cleaning the mounting surface was an hour of scrubbing away with a scouring pad. 2ith the right tools it would have been quicker for sure.

How do I tag LJs Garage? The engine antifreeze/coolant SHOULD NOT BE RED!!! That is the wrong antifreeze/coolant for the vehicle. He needs to be using a HOAT Antifreeze/Coolant which is either orange or yellow. A red coolant is most likely OAT which is not the same as HOAT.
@LJsGarage11 ай бұрын
I used the Mopar OEM stuff so im not sure what you are referring to so hopefully I used the right stuff. Thanks for caring to pass on that though!

@@LJsGarageyes you used the correct coolant which is the OAT coolant, he's referring to the HOAT coolant which was used in model year 2011-2013. He doesn't know what he's talking about, you're all good dude. Thanks for the awesome video, I'm about to tackle this tomorrow.
