I would add that once the old alternator is off, match up the pulley from the old one with the new one to make sure the replacement unit is correct before you install it. But great tutorial Thank you!

What about replacing those four alternator mounting bolts ? I followed your video exactly. GREAT JOB. But now the serpentine belt is giving me problems. The belt does not want to stay in the grooves on the power steering pully. I guessing either idler pully or tensioner arm/pully. Or maybe should have replaced those bolts ? Comments

Unfortunately, the bolt patter of the alternator is NOTHING like my 06 X3. And I am struggling to get this sucker out.
